Founded in 1977, The Old Tax House began with little more than a few pencils, a calculator and a sincere desire to provide quality accounting and tax preparation services at affordable rates. We are very proud of the company we have become, with the best staff in the business we've grown to become the largest income tax office in O'Fallon, Mo. 2017 MARK OUR 40th ANNIVERSARY as a locally owned business.

Tax Prep John Elliot did not properly file our taxes. We provided all the needed info. Our 2020 came back from the IRS (Sept 2021) and we owed over $6,000 still. The Old Tax House manager Stacey, initially tried to make up for it by paying the penalties from the IRS for us when we come back for tax season next year. I don't know anyone that would go back after such a terrible experience. They did refund their fee, penalty and interest. Though, In my opinion, they should be paying for damages they missed in the work I paid them to do. This work that they poorly provided my wife and I affected our life. Which from Manager Stacey's responses, I did not get a feeling they cared. I do not recommend using The Old Tax House.

Called to schedule an appointment. Was given an appointment time at my convenience within the week. Met with Melissa Orlando. She was very professional and answered all of my questions. Melissa collected all of our information and was able to give me our tax return information/amount immediately. We were able to e-file and the paperwork it was ready for signature about two days later. Excellent customer service! Will definitely use them again next year.

They are all nice and easy to work with. They provide you with different colored folders so you can easily differentiate between the different years they have done your taxes.

We haven't done our taxes this year. We have a business as well, so our taxes are higher than an individuals. They get high ratings in everything and we will continue to use them.
