They could have just quit. They could have just said they were not doing anymore. They were in contact with the kitchen and bath company.

It was AWESOME! They were courteous, kind, flexible with my crazy schedule, never made me feel "put out" and as said above, all work done in 4 DAYS!!!!!  That is amazing!  They came in 1/2 of the money that I thought we would have to spend to get this all done and made the whole experience the most pleasant as it can be!!!!
We will be calling them to do our 3 bathrooms and basement bar, entertainment space and family room for Phase 2-3!!!
 
Highly recommend them and would go nowhere else for housing and contracting needs! True professionals!

After having Thacker Construction build our first home in 1989 there was no question who we would call to do the work on our next home when the time came for a face-lift.  

We are not easily pleased when it comes to work done in our home but you can trust Stan and Thacker Construction, they were extremely clean and professional. Stan really knew his stuff, he listened to our concerns and desires, gave us great suggestions, provided an estimate and delivered a high quality solution, on-time and at a great price.  

Overall our project went extremely well and I can?t think of anything I would have changed. We certainly believe we made the best choice and we will continue to use Thacker Construction for any future home projects.  

My new master bath and kitchen look incredible now and I always look forward to the opportunity to show it off to our guests.

The work was sloppy with no attention to detail, they had to be asked repeatedly to use tarps to cover existing carpets and ground dirt into the carpet, swept trash into the duct work including outlets, large pieces of drywall,wiring and whole switches which they blamed on us.  We had to correct and complete the duct work in the basement.  They also drilled through the wall into the master bath putting a large hole in the wall, ruined slides on kitchen window so windows now stick when you try to open them, knocked seal off other kitchen window so window was just sitting in the frame and could have been pushed out of the wall onto the yard below.  Stan then proceeded to say it was like that before they arrived.  They also ruined the blinds in the kitchen windows but did agree to replace those.  The workers dumped spackle waste in the front rock garden and cemented the gravel together with white muck, the cabinet door knobs are not level on upper cabinets, they placed the floor vent directly under the cold air return which had to be fixed, instead of combining 2 switches into one switch plate they put two single switch plates next to each other with one 3 inches higher than the other.  This is not the complete list.   Just in general a bad experience, we gave them repeated tries to get the work correct.  We had an almost daily 3 page list of items to correct.  They did fix some of the items but by the end of the project we were so frustrated with the quality of work and the belligerence of the contractor we told them not to come back.  Now a year later the cabinets are beginning to come off the wall and the laminate is coming off of bench seating.
