Responsive after initial quote, professional and efficient. Cleaned up well after job. Entire job took only about 4 hours.

Concrete Leveling
Be aware of who you are dealing with! R.J. Mudjacking contracts with others and communication seems to be an issue. My realtor and I both unknowingly contacted R.J. Mud jacking--realtor spoke to Jason and I spoke to Charlie. Both gave different quotes. Assuming Jason gave my realtor a professional discount, I contacted Jason to formalize the agreement with him. I openly shared that I had received a higher quote from Charlie which Jason confirmed was a contractor for him. The conversation was ended with Jason stating his intention to visit the property and complete the final bid. After a week passed with two of my messages unreturned from Jason, I contacted Charlie. Charlie was informed of the conversation with Jason, the lack of follow up from Jason, and asked how I would proceed in working with him. Charlie was directly asked how close he could come to Jason's lower bid--I expected there to be some negotiation. Charlie simply stated he would honor the bid, instructed me to make the adjustments on the bid sheet, and send it back to him. Approximately a week passed before hearing back from Charlie who stated he talked to Jason and they would not be able to do the job for the price listed and in fact Jason said the entire slab would have to be replaced. When clarification was requested on why after two visits to the residence (one reportedly from Jason and one reportedly from Charlie) the scope of the project changed, I was told by Charlie that he would get clarification from Jason and call me back. I again stated my confusion and that I was losing confidence in the company. Charlie simply replied that I should probably find another company and hung up. I have significant issues with the professional handling of this situation for the following reasons: 1. There are at least two company representatives providing significantly different job bids ($425.00 difference), 2. Project integrity is in question due to the fact that scope of work changed from beginning of bid process to the end, 3. Company representatives are not equipped to handle project finance negotiation--ie: if you can't come down to the customer's requested price and they are actively asking for feedback, they need to have someone on staff who can appropriately handle those business decisions, 4. Common business etiquette is not there. This is evident through the lack of follow up by Jason and the fact that Charlie ended the conversation in a highly unprofessional manner. Even with early warning signs telling me not to proceed with R. J. Mud Jacking, I continued to proceed with them due to their high standing on Angie's List. I hope their quality of work is better than their business management skills.

Concrete Leveling
We contacted RJ Mudjacking with a request to level the concrete in the front of our house in anticipation of a company resurfacing that concrete. In addition to being the owner of the company, Jason performs/oversees the work. For this reason, he cannot always respond to a telephone call the same day you leave a message. But, then, also for this reason, you can be assured that a high-quality job will be done. He takes pride in the finished product. We were very pleased with the finished product, and there was little to no mess to clean-up when the job was done. We received a quote from another mudjacking company who quoted an excessive amount of work for the job at a very high price. We were very pleased with the amount of work Jason suggested needed to be done (and, as it turns out, that was all that needed to be done) and were very pleased with his price.
