He scraped popcorn ceiling, fully repainted 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. He also painted the trim and doors throughout the house. When we did the painting, we initially spoke to 4 people. We called him over the phone. He came in person the first day. Then he was just awful up to the end. It cost us more money than what was quoted. He had quoted $2000. We ended up paying another $400. My wife cut the cheque because she wanted him out of here. I would not have given him that extra money. He said that he had to add a third coat of paint. He had put only a coat and a half in the bathroom. My wife heard the guy who was painting say that he could stretch it to one and a half coat. It was awful. He charged more for paint and labour. It was supposed to be a 3 day job but ended up being a 3 week job. When he painted the doors, he did not paint around the knobs. He did that later and when he did it, he used another color. A closer look at the doors reveals that the color around the handles is different from the rest of the door. Even the trim has different shades of white. While painting the pink walls, he did not cover the entire area. He really did a horrible job. It cost us a lot of money and it was not done right.
Description of Work: John the Painter did the painting job in March 2008.
