We have used Affordable Lawn Service for several leaf removal and lawn projects in the past and were mostly satisfied with the work done. However, recently we hired them to work on an area in our yard that is eroding, and grass won’t grow. That job was done very poorly, and I will not use them again. Jason, with Affordable Lawn, recommended adding topsoil to the eroding area and seeding it with clover for a ground cover. The job was done rather quickly because rain was forecasted, and the crew left before we had a chance to inspect the work. The tractor they used to haul the topsoil left significant ruts in the main part of the yard where good grass was growing, and it did not look like any seed was applied. I contacted Jason and he assured me he did come back later (it was while we were away) and spread the clover seed. When I asked about repairing the tractor ruts in the good yard, he said the ruts would help hold in the seed he spread over them. Apparently, he also spread clover seed over the tractor ruts in the good grass area – that was not what we wanted, and I told him that. In the following days it rained heavily, washing away most of the topsoil and creating more ruts in the erosion area. I contacted Jason that repair was needed to all the mess. After a week and no reply, I sent him another message. His response was, “I’m sorry thought I had responded I’m sorry Mother Nature overruled our plan thank you for your business and again I’m sorry it didn’t work out as planned”. Now we are left with more work to be done than before we started the project. Unfortunately, I had already paid them for the job before the rain came – guess I’m out of luck. Lesson learned.

There were a couple times when it was hard to get a hold of the crew, but their pricing is fantastic. I decided they were worth the wait, but I also had time to spare! If you're in a rush I would suggest putting a mandatory deadline in your project. Jason is a really nice guy and works hard. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time

Trimming and top soil great, but replanted Boxwood Shrubs all dying, as not replanted with enough dirt and deep enough. Existing landscape rock was rolled into the holes no way for shrubs to root. Never returned to locate drain covered with sod (3 requests.)
