The put a hole in the liner during the installation, which required Mr. B's to order a new one, delaying installation for 10 days. They buckled the walls of the pool, left divits in the sand with several being at least 6" deep, cracked the skimmer. It took 3 months and 49 phone calls to get most of the problems fixed, the ones that he didn't respond to, we hired another firm to fix. He's horrible at returning calls or text messages.

We actually contracted with Lowe's to install our fence.  Lowe's was subcontracting fence projects to Burke Construction.  On April 19, 2013, we made an appointment with Burke Construction to begin our fence on April 29, 2013.  Dig Rite was supposed to come to the house in the meantime to mark the yard for utilities.  On April 29th I called Burke to tell them that Dig Rite never showed up to mark the yard.  Burke claims that they had gotten an email from them over the weekend telling them they could not locate our house!  First of all, had they contacted Dig Rite  on April 19 when we made our initial appointment, I'm sure Dig Rite would have gotten back to them if they could not find our house long before two weekends after making our appointment.  With Lowe's intervention, Dig Rite finally came on the morning of May 1, 2013.  I called Mark at Lowe's to tell him Dig Right had come and he said he would send Burke right out.  They did not come.  They did not show up until May 6, 2013 to install the fence.  The first day, they tore out the old fence and set the posts for the new fence.  That afternoon, we discovered we had no internet or phone service.  They had cut a wire when digging even though Dig Rite had marked the yard!  We had to have AT&T come out the next evening and it took them almost three hours to fix the problem.  In the meantime, there were eight bags of Quick Crete leftover, the fence was wobbly, there were holes they had not back filled, there was debris everywhere and the gate they installed was sagging.  We called Mark at Lowe's.  He came out to look at everything and agreed that our complaints were valid.  Burke had not used enough concrete in the post holes.  Mark had Burke come back out to install a bigger post to hang the gate on and to rebuild the gate.  Mark came over to make sure the work was being done.  The Burke installer told Mark that the wobbliness of the fence was because it needed a good rain and then dry out to set the concrete.  When the installer was finished with the gate, he told me he was done at our house and Burke would not be returning.  The rebuilt gate is now warping.  Mark at Lowe's has been wonderful through our terrible ordeal and has taken good care of us.  We are now into June and Mark is having a different company  fix the problems that Burke has created at our home.  Calls to Burke went unreturned, even to the owner.  Calls promised from Burke were never received.  They repeatedly failed to show up when promised.
Response from Burke Construction Inc
"Some customers buy there fencing and believe it should be installed the next day. We call dig rite and will not work until that yard is marked. We offered the email sent by dig rite. The contract reads that we are not responsible for unmarked lines. This line was two and a half feet away from mark. The customer felt that we should repair this and when we did not she proceeded to give us a bad report. We can not make everyone happy and are listed as one of the top companies for Lowes. We pride ourselves in our work and again this customer was not happy that we would not start when she wanted. I hope this review will not stop someone from using us as I believe it is not correct."

Ed Burke and his work crew are wonderful to deal with.  Ed goes out of his way to help with any problems that might come up during the job.  Ed's prices are very reasonable and the work is excellent.  His guys are great and truly accomodating and really care about the customer and the finished product.  All contractors should take a lesson from Ed and his employees on how to deal with homeowners.
They put in our walkways, fencing, drainage lines and patio areas including a fire pit and landscaping.  Ed will soon be doing our driveway and front yard regrading too.  They can do it all!
We highly recommend Ed Burke and we would definitely continue to use his services in the future.  Excellent contractor!!!
