Brought my car to these guys the first time for just a standard oil change and to have them tighten up my AC belt that was squealing (put on a few months before by another shop). A few months later my belt started squealing again, so I brought it back to them. The tech was up front with me and said that I could just have them tighten the belt again, but that it was likely that I'd be back in a few months since the belt was loosening quicker than it should. Basically I could spend the money up front to replace it now, or have them do the cheap repair now but have to pay more again later. The work was done quickly and well, the staff was friendly, the price was about what I expected, and they offer loaner cars. All around great experience. I will absolutely come back!

After towing the van there, they decided their diesel mechanic couldn't make the repairs after all. I had to have it towed to another facility.

I took my car to Northtown Auto Clinic for routine maintenance.  Prior to this, we had taken my car to Honda of Tiffany Springs.  We had been pleased with Honda, but wanted to establish a relationship with a reputable shop that was not so make-specific.  We also wanted to establish a relationship prior to needing major work, for which we anticipate the price differential would be greater.
I discovered Northtown Auto Clinic through AAA's website.  They are one of the few AAA approved repair shops in the area and by far the closest to our house.  When I first walked in, I overhead a conversation with another client who brings their car in whenever they are in the area.  I immediately felt at ease, but I wish I would've been able to be seen the same day rather than having to make an appointment for the following day.
When I took the car in, I asked to have all Honda-recommended maintenance done, because I have an extended warranty that I don't want to void.  I was impressed when initially I was told that they could do some of the work, but preferred to get it in the shop first to see if it was really needed.  Because of the warranty, I asked them to do it regardless.  They were done within the estimated time and the costs came in almost to the penny of their estimates.
The next day, I noticed a reddish oil leak in my garage.  Fortunately, Northtown Auto Clinic called to check-up on the service and see how the car was running since.  I explained the problem and they quickly arranged for me to bring it back in.  They discovered the problem and had it corrected and tested within 30 minutes.  They also asked me to bring it back in a week to make sure the problem had been fixed.  I was really impressed that they not only went to lengths to correct the problem, but also to verify that it was fixed.
So far, Northtown has earned my trust and we'll be back in the future!

My car had been in extreme summer temperatures and the rear hatch seal nearly melted. Every time I tried to lift the hatch, my hands got black and sticky. The part needed to be replaced. It might seem like a simple repair, but because of the design of the car, it entailed taking the hatch door assembly apart. I watched as they did it. While there, I had the oil checked, the fluids topped, and the air pressure checked with their more accurate gauges. I appreciate that they tell me in advance what repairs might be anticipated in the future. In this instance, they told me I would need new tires before winter--something I knew, but I like that they allow me to plan for the expense rather than pressuring me for an immediate fix. The owner and staff are excellent about explaining the technicalities of each repair and why they choose the products they do. They care that I get good value for my money. There might be backyard operators who are cheaper, but my safety depends on the integrity of my car and its components and I feel that quality counts. Northtown Auto Clinic has always been honest with me. I wouldn't go anywhere else--including the dealerships. Wonderful people here.

It went perfectly - in my experience, Northtown always does a great job of explaining what's needed versus recommended, and why for both areas. It's the right way to do auto service and it helps knowledgeable car owners like me and also helps people who know little to nothing about their car.
I've used Northtown for years and have sent 4-5 co-workers to them for service, in addition to servicing multiple vehicles of my own there. I'd recommend them to anyone in need of fair, honest car repair.

The team here is so friendly and helpful. As a single woman, I have utmost confidence in the abilities and honesty of Ed, Bret and the whole crew. There is a comfortable waiting room with coffee and a restroom. The sound advice and excellent service they have given me through the years have given me peace of mind.

They were really good. Unfortunately they are not open on Saturdays. I had to have my car stayed there overnight and they were able to give me a rental car. It was accessible. They always explained in detail everything that was wrong with my car.
