Progressive Plumbing Inc

Progressive Plumbing was on a job site in which we were working and not knowing any other plumbing contractors in the area we requested they perform work for us in which 7 permits were needed. They gave us a price for the plumbing work which was approximately $3,000. We knew we needed 7 permits and we told them what we thought the cost of the permits were (costly mistake!) which brought the total to approximaely $6000. The company we were working for requested the receipts for the permits so I called Chuck at Progressive Plumbing to get the receipts. He was extremely rude and put us off for about 3 weeks. It was very embarrasing for us to tell our customer we couldn't get the receipts. Our customer called Progressive Plumbing and they produced an inspection report for the job, but still no receipts for the permits. In the meantime Progressive Plumbing was pushing hard for payment on this job, however, we were holding back until we had the receipts. Long story short THERE WERE NO RECEIPTS FOR PERMITS THAT TOTALED $3000 because the cost of the permits was only $655 and Progressive Plumbing did not want us to know this until they had their money. When I called Chuck to tell him I understand why he is so rude and kept putting us off getting the receipts, because he was lying, his response was, "$6000 was the price we agreed to". The moral of this story is, this company is dishonest and given the opportunity will take advantage of you so do NOT use them!!!! The real looser here is the company we were doing business for because they understood what was going on and were kind enough to pay us for the $3000 permits that only cost $655.
