Greg's Mower Shop, LLC

I’ve used Greg’s for several years. The work they do is generally good, but their business practices and customer service are terrible. I put up with it in previous years, but this year was the last straw with the unnecessary work and extra charges. Most recently, they performed and charged me for more work on my riding mower than I asked for… essentially a basic tuneup, new tires, and I informed them the deck belt was coming off and asked if they could fix it. They ultimately replaced the belt and charged me over $500. When I received the mower back, it continued to pop off. When they picked up the mower again and they called saying a cover over the belt was missing and that’s why it was coming off. I said it was like that the first time they picked it up so why didn’t they inform me of it the first time? Yet they still charged me for extra pickup/delivery fees. There are plenty of other mower shops out there that are more reliable and more customer service oriented.

Greg came out in his professional looking truck and mobile repair shop (wrapped up in a nice full covered trailer with logos and all).  He was booked two weeks out from when I called, but the day of service he was right on time.  He asked me some brief questions and got right to work right there in my driveway.  It was extremely hot, but he worked with no complaints and had a great attitude.  He was done in about 20-30 minutes and spoke with me afterwards.  He stated I had run through some bad gas and to get rid of the stuff I was using.  I have to admit, I felt pretty stupid with this result, but Greg didn't make me feel like I was stupid at all.  In fact, he just told me what was wrong and what he did.  I then asked him about a new blade or sharpening the one I had.  He went ahead and sharpened it for me instead of trying to sell a new one for the sake of a sale.  Great experience.

He was reluctant to come out here anytime soon. He finally came out and took the part and still has the part. Then called and said the pully was bad. He then keeps saying the part is on order. When I called he got lippy with me. He just seems that I have to be patient and says that he'll just bring the part back and cancel the order. Says I don't pay him enough to be calling as much as I do to check on my part. It has been over a month and this guy is giving me a run around. I don't understand why I have been sitting here for a month and he has done nothing. He isn't doing anything to find my part.

It was Greg's Mobile. It was outstanding, excellent. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and also he advised us on a string trimmer we had plus another riding mower that didn't work, but he just told us tips on how to take care of them. He changed the gas on the lawn mower to premium instead of regular and that is a really good tip for us. Overall I grade him excellent. I thought that it was a fair price. The responsiveness is definitely an 'A'.

want So very well as usual.  Greg is a prince among paupers!!  If that is a bit melodramatic, so be it.   I feel as though he knows just about all there is to know about the mower repair business  (and all things mower and engine related).  His professionalism and interaction with me, the customer, is always positive.  I do feel that he undercharged me, but I could not get him to accept more.  I just think his good nature and great work is outstanding and I would not want to even try to replace his great service.

My review is extremely late, but better late than never.  I will call on Greg again when I need him and I have recommended him to several friends and family.  He was on time, professional, and very knowledgeable.  I also don't have a way to transport my mower anywhere and he made it so easy by coming to my house.  Thanks Greg.  I will call you again when I need someone.

Greg responded quickly to my web request for service (answered within a few hours) for my Craftsman push 22 inch, 6 hp lawn mower and a gas powered hedge trimmer.  We set a time & date for about a week away.  Greg gave me several options for his mobile visit to my property (instead of having to load my mower and take to him). 
Greg arrived on time, serviced my lawn mower (changed oil, air filter, and sharpened my blades) as promised and was very timely.  He looked at my hedge trimmer and advised me of the difficulty and high cost of repair; thus I elected to get a new hedge trimmer.  I was impressed with his knowledge and experience; he could have fixed my trimmer; however, my problem was likely to resurface and Greg was very upfront with his description of the issue (thus, saving me $).
I would highly recommend Greg and Greg's Mobile Mower Service.  With the high price of gas, why not let Greg come to your home or place of business.

I do not recall the price, since it was quite awhile ago, but I do remember I was very satisfied with the price.

Their service was great. It was very convenient for them to pick it up and return it. They had it about 3 or 4 days and I had no trouble scheduling the appointment. This is the only time I have used them so far, but I would use them again. I was quite happy with the work.
