Bill Moredock Flooring Installation

We bought all our flooring materials from Lowes of St Robert and also through them arranged/paid to have Bill Moredock (of Bill Moredock Flooring Installation 573-433-1354) remove existing flooring and install our replacement. We chose the Mohawk Highmore engineered hardwood flooring from Lowe's and they recommended and arranged helped us arrange to have Bill Moredock come to our home to get measurements/prepare an estimate.It came within our budget so we placed the order with Lowes on 10/5/13. Lowes contacted us and Mr Moredock on 10/11/2013, materials had arrived. Mr Moredock immediately phoned to arrange his next available days for installing: 23-25 of October and suggested that we have the materials delivered at least 3 days before installation so that the wood flooring could be acclimated, also recommending how and where the boxes should be stacked for optimal results. He then called Lowes, and again, Lowes flooring professional immediately called us to arrange delivery on 10/14/2013. (Delivery went smoothly and as pre-arranged. The two men delivering were friendly and took care to stack the materials as Bill had recommended) Bill and his three man crew of professional flooring installers arrived at 8 a.m. on 23 October and within hours had all the baseboards removed, the floor tile in front of our entry door and most of the old laminate in the living room removed, plus all of the carpet from the three bedrooms, everything loaded on their vehicles and ready to be hauled away. As these jobs were being finished the next began, sanding the floors in preparation for laying the premium laminate underlayment, and before I knew it, they began laying the hardwood flooring. Two of the crew members were young men, newer to the profession, and Bill took the time to work with them and inspect their work to insure it was up to his standards. Mike, the fourth crew member, is a seasoned and - like Bill - very professional flooring installation expert. They all worked steadily and seemed to really enjoy and take pride in what they were doing. Bill and his crew members answered any of my questions, and didn't hesitate to remove a plank when I asked if it were possible (the Highmore floor has varying degrees of color - and there was one that I felt was too dark). The team broke for lunch and left around 4:30. (Can't remember exact time) I was truly astonished at how much they had accomplished in one day - the entire floor had been laid in the living room and master bedroom. The entire crew was back the next morning at 8, picking up where they left off and by the end of the day all the work had been completed. (Bill had scheduled 3 days for the job in case he ran into anything unexpected - but fortunately it wasn't needed) I felt such trust in Mr. Moredock and his crew that I felt comfortable leaving them alone in our house for a few hours while I attended to my husband who was in the hospital for a minor procedure. Finally, Bill and his crew took great care while they were in our home, doing their best to protect our walls and other existing flooring, cleaning up/vacuuming as they did the job, and finishing with a last visual inspection of the work area before leaving on the second day. I can't say enough positive things about Mr Moredock and his team. They were really great guys who did a FANTASTIC job! My new wood floors are BEAUTIFUL!!! I earnestly recommend Bill Moredock Flooring Installation, and I'm grateful to Lowe's for their recommendation. Being new to the area I was really worried about hiring someone whose work I wasn't familiar with (who isn't). I hope this helps alleviate the fears of anyone else just moving to the St Robert area or are having new floors installed for the first time.
