Ted and Margo Soucy have been terrific to work with over a long period of time. We originally used them in our first house to re-glaze 2 bath tubs + tile shower surrounds. At least one of them had previously been painted and was peeling. Ted & Margo did a great job removing the old paint, and applying a texture to the floors of the tubs so they wouldn't be slippery. At one point I dropped a can of shaving cream in the shower chipping the finish. Ted & Margo came out and repaired the area very well so that the damage wasn't noticeable unless you were looking for it - and for a nominal fee to boot! In the last 10 years or so we've had Ted & Margo re-glaze 3 bathrooms + tile shower surrounds in our current home. We had an issue with one spot not looking quite right in our master bath tub & Ted came out to fix it today. One of the greatest things about his continued work for us and the quality of repair (besides the very reasonable price) is that at the time of the original work Ted gave us left over "paint" material to store. This allowed us to make sure that all 3 of our bathrooms matched and that any required repair would be exactly the same color. I would NEVER use anyone else for this type of work and can't recommend Ted & Margo at Gateway Porcelain Refinishing highly enough. My only other advice is follow Their instructions about drying time and cleaning products. If you do this, you will enjoy years of beautiful looking refinished porcelain.

They don't make them like Ted Soucy and his wife Margot anymore. Through Angie's List, I found this couple who own Gateway Porcelain Refinishing in New Haven, Mo., after a 15-year search for someone to fix my tub. And what a find it was. Unlike others I contacted they were quite willing to make a substantial drive to my home in Steelville, MO. Moreover, they provided specific details about what they would do and what it would cost. The basic charge was $585. There would be an additional fee of $100 for repairing and smoothing the internal sides of the tub and $35 for the textured floor. They arrived exactly on time and immediately began preparing the bathroom and installing a vent through the door of my upper porch door. They worked patiently and thoroughly for almost 12 hours, pausing only to allow the applications to dry at certain stages in the process. When they had finished, I had a new bathtub. It was a beautiful job completed by two amazing professionals. They made no attempt to rush the process, they were polite and pleasant to deal with, and they exuded a strong sense of ethics and pride in their work. To top it off, they did such a good clean-up job it was hard to imagine anyone had been there. In short, I received the perfect results at tremendous value. My only regret: There isn't an A+ rating

I called to discuss a bathtub that my brother had in his house. It was pink and he wanted it white. The owner met me at the house to see the job and give a a bid. The owners were prompt and courteous. They were hired and did an excellent job. The tub looks beautiful! You could never tell that it was ever pink! I would hire this company again.

Overall, it went amazing. From the moment I emailed Gateway Porcelain Refinishing to the moment they left. They emailed me promptly with a quote and we setup the date. They called the day before coming out and were right on time! They made it look like nothing getting the rest of the old paint off! They kept in constant communication with me during the process, asking me to come take a look at the progress. There were a couple curveballs: 1) The bottom was worn quite a bit so it was going to be dull....2) the tub use to have a door so the location of where the rail use to sit was worn a bit also. Nothing structurally bad, but they let me know that without refinishing the entire tub, it would look a little dull when they were done. Much to my amazement - when they called me to take a look at the end - IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! There was very little to no dullness where I had expected...they went out of their way to make it look as good as possible within the budget! Amazing!...and genuinely nice people!!! A++++++++++
