American Hardwood Floors

We found them at the Home Show in Springfield, Mo. Very personable. Came out and gave a very reasonable estimate on the installation of the wood floor.They arrived as scheduled. Installation of the wood floor went well. They were very insistant on their payment. They were paid as soon as we returned home after work as instructed. Two days after the install when we could finally inspect the job (did not want to walk on the floor until we were sure the sealant was dry, we noticed that different colored wood putty had been used to fill in areas. The squeak at the bottom of the stairs remained even after they stated they could resolve the issue. There were cracks between the boards. We called them out to discuss our concerns. They removed the different colored wood putty. Stated they could not do anything for the squeak, the flooring was already down. On the cracks-we told you the boards would moved with the changes in humidity. The spaces continued to get larger in some areas so big you can place a dime horizontally between the boards. We tried to get them to come back and look at their handiwork-they did not return calls. I emailed them-they did not respond to the emails. Come to find out the sink in the bathroom was not connected to the wall. We had to call a plumber to come out and finish the job they started. For someone that wanted their money yesterday they sure did not want to make the end product what was promised I will never recommend them for anything. Poor customer service! Alot of lip service without follow through.

I actually found him at a home show here in Joplin. The only thing I can say about his services is his pricing is so far superior. He was over $4,000 cheaper for the best estimate I had from a hardwood floor installer, and he did more work. He did my stairwell, and my landing too. These guys are just awesome.

They did a great job and the work was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody. They completed the work on time and on budget as promised. There work even included stairwells and landings. They did everything but base boards. They even insured that I had the appliances removed.

American Floor Manufacturers was not my first choice but they were the most reasonable in price. Quality is real good.
