Our Labrador retriever was bitten by a snake; we took her to Dr. Wallace. When we entered the treatment room, there was an empty syringe on the table and dirty rags on the table as well.
He gave her a shot (with a clean syringe) and put her into a crate that she barely fit in. He told us to come over in the morning.
The next morning my son (age 12 at the time) was on his bike and when Dr. Wallace spotted him, he called out to him, and quot;Your dog didn't make it!and quot;
My son was heartbroken about the dog; my husband and I were very upset with the lack of professionalism that the vet showed in telling a child that his dog died.
When I went over to ask him to cremate our dog, he said okay. A few days later, when I went to pick up her ashes, he gave them to me in a plastic Walmart bag.
