They sent a man the next morning, he went up on the roof to check the condition of the skylights and to cover them to protect from the rain. I asked Bone Dry to give me an estimate and they gave me a thorough explanation of what needed to be done to install much better skylights and replaced them quickly and efficiently. Bone Dry has done work for many of my neighbors and they are a superb company.

Kevin was timely and professional providing a quote. Installation went very smooth. They were on schedule and did a good job cleaning up. Very happy with the product.

The completed work met expectations.  The installers were professional and even cleaned the adjacent skylight while on the roof.  They cleaned up after the job was complete and the new skylight has performed as expected.  I had to make a few calls to get the estimate, and the wait time for the installation date seemed a bit excessive, but they do good work.

They were on time and very professional.  Job went exactly as they said it would.

After the initial repair didn't fix the problem Frank returned on a Saturday and did a much more complex repair while honoring his original bid. He went overboard to be sure we were pleased and satisfied with the work.  Friendly, professional, and competent.  Can't say enough about how well we were treated.  Would not hesitate to use them again.

Working with Premier was great! Tom was very helpful in explaining the product they carried and how the replacement would work. When we had Frank out to look at the existing skylights to determine if replacements were needed he was very helpful and honest. We had two other bids from companies in the area all of which told us we needed the flashing replaced (an extra $1200-$1500). Frank indicated that the flashing replacement was not needed at this time in his opinion and would confirm once the existing skylights were off. When they got here to do the replacement he confirmed there was no need! The install was quick and they were very clean.

From the first call they were responsive and got out right away to give me an estimate. The rep who came out was very thorough and explained about the product, benefits and procedure for installation. He even encouraged me to get other bids and I was impressed by that. Once I made the decision to go with St. Louis Skylights, I was able to get installation scheduled in about 3 weeks. The installers arrived on time and were ready to get to work. They covered my floor and furniture to avoid any possible debris falling on them. In short order they had the old skylights out and were ready to install the new. Start to finish took about 5 hours tops. The installers were friendly, considerate of my home and thorough. My skylights look wonderful and I think they've already made a difference in my energy consumption.

The process was very complicated, but the people from Premier Skylights are professional and sell and install an excellent product. My family room is dark. After a porch was installed at the back of the house it was even darker. Light fixtures were installed and it was still dark. Going up through the roof was the only option to add light. I checked reviews and compared prices and Premier offered the best options for my needs. The installation took 4 days, and it was dusty and dirty, but the Premier crew took such great care. Plastic was hung to contain the dust. Vacumns were used. Debris was hauled away. The skylight was installed, and tested and they left my home clean and with beautiful light. Great job Premier.

We met Tom (Premier Skylights) at a home show and dreamed of a sun tunnel but that was not on our list of needs. Later when our old skylights developed a leak during heavy windy rain storms, replacing them became a need. We went in to see Tom in his small office. He and Frank, the Installer, own this small business. We believe his prices are fair. There is no high pressure sales involved. Tom gives you a price but does not push you into a purchase.
Frank and his crew removed the old skylights, replaced them and repaired the water damage within just a few short hours. Dec 3rd was an unusually warm day, in the mid 70's. When the old skylights were removed ...wow... the airflow was heavenly. Now I WANT a venting skylight added to the kitchen. However, that is not a NEED at this moment. When and if we are able to add another skylight or a sun tunnel to brighten up our windowless bathrooms we will definitely call on Tom and Frank at Premier Skylights.

They were very prompt with returning phone calls and set up timely visit for estimate despite recent hail storm that left most businesses with several week long wait. The estimate was less than competitors. They showed up for job when scheduled and completed the job as planned and cleaned up after project completion. We were very pleased with every step of process in working with Tom and colleagues. We would use them again and would recommend them to friends/family.

I visited their place of business and was impressed by their clear explanations of what had to be done. They asked that I have the roofing company leave extra shingles for their skylight installation and two days after the roof was completed, they did the skylight installation. We had had another company do the interior repair earlier but it did not even last a year. Premier did it the right way.

A few days later we had a big hail storm (2and quot; diameter) and they came out right away and put tarp over one skylight and provided a damage report with photos. I will be using their services again, sooner than I had thought.

It was simple. Clear communication and nice staff right from the start. Someone came over to give me an estimate... they sent me the estimate within a week. I contacted them and made the decision to hire them. I paid half down... order came in about 2 weeks. They called and sent a man to complete the work. It only took him about 4 hours.. I paid the balance. Delighted with my experience with this company. When I mentioned Angie's List... they gave me discount on the job too!

I researched skylights and wanted to have Velux skylights to replace the old plastic domes that were cracking. A web search found several local companies including Premier Skylights. I went to their small office in an office industrial park and met Tom, Frank and Gary. They unboxed a Velux skylight to show me an example, and we set a date for Frank to come out for an estimate. He showed up on time, calling ahead to verify. Tom emailed pdf estimates for the work the next day. I originally was going to have 5 skylights replaced but two are very large and not standard sized; they came up with a solution but was more than I wanted to spend at this time. I agreed to have the three installed; they even saved me a little money by suggesting flush mount skylights rather than just replacing the curb mounts I had. We agreed on a Monday install date about 2 1/2 weeks out (I was going out of town). This was the beginning of the serious summer heat in St. Louis, and Frank called to arrange to deliver the supplies over the weekend so they could get an early start to avoid the worst of the heat. Frank called 1/2 hour prior to scheduled arrival to say it was too hot and there were thunderstorms threatening, could they delay. I readily agreed because I couldn't imagine being on a roof working in the extreme heat then existing. Frank called on Wednesday to arrange to come on Thursday. He and Gary showed up on time at 7 AM; they covered the floor and cabinets under the skylights with plastic. It took them about 6 hours to complete the install. I went up on the roof to look at the skylights and was very happy to see an excellent quality install: there was no way to see that the roof had been reshingled around the skylights. Gary came back the next morning, again on time, to install the blinds and interior trim. This work was also completed in a high trade standard. As their name suggests, skylights are their primary business and they do it very well. I did not get any competing bids due to the comfort factor of speaking with all three men prior to getting their bid. I believe I received value for the price due to the competence of the install: it's what they do. I have already sent a friend to them for an estimate, and strongly recommend you do the same.

I found them on Angies List. I thought the price was fair. They scheduled it and they were here within two days. They did a nice job. There were no complaints. They cleaned up everything and did what they promised to do. I have recommended them to people. I would use them in the future.

Premier Skylights has exceeded all my expectations. Admittedly my expectations were low based on the POOR work done by our previous skylight company (no longer in business). We have unusual sized skylights so they had to be special ordered. This took quite a while (not Premier's fault). Installation went smoothly. A glitch arose with the chimney cap. The spark arrester on top of the cap was no longer available but our installer, Frank, doggedly researched a suitable substitute
(what a guy!!!).

Premier is not the lowest priced company (or the highest) but their service and quality are unparalleled. Quality is always remembered long after price is forgotten. I am admittedly a cheapskate and have been burned in the past when I went low-ball inappropriately. There are times and places when cheap will do but your roof is not one of them.

The replacement of our leaking skylights was down to choosing between two companies. Premier Skylights had a lower price quote but the other company had the skylights in stock. What tipped the decision was that in reading customer reviews Premier Skylights sounded more responsive in communications with customers. Since it was noted that they also had experience with roofing I asked them to look at the roof for other possible sources of leaks in particular the plumbing vent stacks. There were ceiling stains below them but I could not remember if they were from before the time I had the roof replaced years earlier. Their opinion was that they did not see any other problems. So I painted the ceiling and after the next heavy rain there were no stains on the ceiling from leaks. I had a twenty four year old metal chimney cap that was rusting and leaving stain streaks on the side of the house. I did not consider that as part of roofing work but I asked if they knew someone that could replace it. They said they could and I accepted their quote for doing it. Despite the age of the house the new cap looks and fits like the orignal one. There was a delay which Premier Skylights could not foresee. The factory was upgrading the glass used in the model I had selected. This was good and bad. The plus was that I would be getting better skylights. The minus was that an installation date could not be set because the factory did not give Premier Skylights a firm delivery date. This was a problem for me in that we were preparing our house for sale and the day it would go on the market was approaching. What Premier Skylights did was to give my job a priority, working the installation of the skylights into their schedule shortly after they received them. The new skylights differed from my old ones and as result at the mounting inside there were nail holes, unpainted wood and gaps. Premier Skylights did the finish work on these. The final paint matched the rest of the ceiling. The two work sites were left clean after each day that they worked.

We installed a new skylight in our upstairs to bring more natural light to an area we're remodling that originally had no natural light. In all my dealings with Premier Skylights, from the bid process to completion of the installation, they were punctual, friendly, and professional. Due to the heat in mid-August, they completed the job over the course of two mornings--it was too hot to work on the roof and they wanted to protect our shingles, which I really appreciate. Frank and Gary arrived early both mornings and were very friendly to deal with and made every effort possible not to inconvenience us while they completed the job. The skylight looks fantastic and has completely transformed our upstairs. Things I really liked about Premier: (1) their professionalism and honesty (2) they completed the job as expected with no problems (3) their lead carpenter bid the job, rather than a salesperson (4) their friendliness (5) they automatically bid a higher grade of glass which provides more protection from the elements in the event that the skylight gets damaged---this is a little more expensive than the standard glass, but makes sense to use I really have nothing negative to say about our experience with Premier and would definitely use them again in the future.

They did a good and we have had no issues. They came as scheduled and we are satisfied with their work.

I have nothing but praise for Premier Skylights and its owners, Frank Chandler and Tom Rissman. While attending the St. Louis Home Show this past spring, we spoke with the Velux representative about a problem we were experiencing with some of our skylights. He highly recommended Frank as someone who could diagnose and solve our problems in the most cost effective way. He was so right! Frank came to our home, climbed up on the roof, and solved our problem in about 10 minutes. While visiting with him, we told him about our unusual situation with our roof. We have Cathedral ceilings with very little insulation, not to mention the roof was un-vented and even leaking in several areas. Being a carpenter with prior roofing experience, Frank had a few suggestions. Over the course of several months, I extensively researched different possibilities and consulted Frank on his opinion. Thanks to his background and knowledge, he was able to help us find a resolution to our problem. Not only that, he even tackled the job himself. He and his two assistants did a beautiful job on our roof. Now it's insulated, vented, leak free and looks wonderful. We have never dealt with anyone who was so detail oriented, dependable, hard working and eager to please. We couldn't be happier with our dealings with Premier Skylights. As a matter of fact, we have a couple more projects for them!

They do excellent work. They are timely. The workers are friendly. They know what they're doing and they do it. I felt the price was reasonable and we couldn't find anyone else that could even do the work.
