The wood that OnCenter used for my Pergola was defective and they refuse to stand behind their warranty. They tell me that If Menards will not warranty their wood, then how can they. I think it is terrible that I paid $6400 to have a nice pergola on my back patio and I am left with cracked, defective wood. I was told that OnCenter would only replace a portion of the pergola (they could not deny how bad this wood was; but they refuse to replace the entire thing. It is the entire pergola that has the same wood and all of that wood is cracking badly. It will not do me any good to have half of the pergola replaced, only to have the other half keep cracking and be a different color. I tried to explain this to Sam Cox, owner of OnCenter, and he told me that; he cannot control how wood ages; For the money I paid, I really think I should enjoy my pergola and be able to look at it and have my visitors look at it without being ashamed of how unsightly it is. I have a nice house and wanted a nice pergola. I feel I will now need legal representation and have to reach out to Menards corporate office myself. I will have to do the fight that OnCenter should be doing. Terrible

Very professional and great at communicating. Their work is impeccable and very detail-oriented. I definitely will hire them for future projects (e.g. finish my basement).

OnCenter Contracting outperformed anyone else we worked with before. They quickly assessed what needed to be done, delivered the quote the next day, made the adjustments we needed on the work. After the contractual phase, they kept us in the loop while they were getting permissions, ordering of the materials, and quickly planned for the work schedule. While they were building our construction (a Pergola on our porch), they were respectful for our time and privacy needs, they were flexible to make the minor changes on the construction we asked for. They even noticed some issues on the existing porch and fixed those problems at material cost only. Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome, and OnCenter Contracting was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

OnCenter Contracting went beyond expectations! Both of the men were excellent with every part of the entire process of building a new deck for us. The communication could not have been better. The artisanship was impressive. The work ethics were at the highest level possible. The site was cleaned each day prior to their leaving. Even the St. Charles County Inspectors were impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to details. We are extremely happy with the finished project!

I need more categories, they did it all. Hundreds of feet of very difficult retaining wall, hundreds feet of aluminum and cedar fencing around property. Complex angles and arches up and down hills. This was a job where you couldn't always get equipment in to move stone pallets, back fill rock, hand carry truck loads of cedar to the work area. Most companies would just walk away from the work we had because of the hillside, lack of access resulting in much more manual labor. But they took it on, did a magnificent job that looks great years later. These guys work hard, they are craftsmen that know what they are doing, and they are as honest as they come. I'd give them 10 stars if the ratings went that high. Quality, honesty, and great communication is what you can expect from this company. You won't be disappointed.
