Doing business with them @ 20 yrs. Never got anyone's name there they are just not friendly. Only one in the office with any professional courtesy is the lady. As usual got parts Wednesday the old guy there was p***** cause I didn't have sample part. Came back on Thursday for same parts, old man out right told me I should have brought the sample in as he told me Wednesday, no part no sale today. W**. Told him I draw a pic...nope must have part. They almost got you by the nads, thank God for Ace hardware on Rock road. Not much but over 20 yrs they probably got 10 k if my business and referrals. No more. Just go to Ace.

They gave me the quote, Anderson needs to be done by a dealer. I hade several to do, some were very large Patio doors. Their staff would not help me carry them in. I am a female, age 59, widow with a bad back. When they called that the screen were ready, I asked if there was a loading dock to pick them up. The answer was No. Their entrance is a failing concrete stairway and a doorway without a way to hold the door open. The staff refuses to help you. I told them I was having back problems and would someone help me get them to my car. The answer was NO. I had to leave them there until my back was better, several weeks.

When I arrived to pick them up, I was alone and no one would help me carry them to the car. I was out side trying to secure the big one to the top of my SUV for about 15 minutes when a customer pulled into the lot. He offered to help me. When I shared my story with him, he also agreed that the staff is terrible about customer service. Actually his language was more colorful!

Genesco was a recommendation by my local hardware store. I am a regular customer at that hardware store and when I told them about my experience at Genesco, they were appalled. They were glad I told them, they will not recommend them again.

It was more than just poor customer service, the staff was just plain rude.

The quality of the work was excellent, and Genesco had the screens finished when they said they would. My only disappointment was that the cost was very high, but if you want the best, it will cost.

The windows are fine and we were satisfied with the whole process except for the installation. Four of the windows would not open and close properly (binding) after the installation. We called Genesco about this problem and another man came and corrected the problems. No problems since then.

Initially I overlooked Genesco because they are not listed in the Yellow Pages as a door repair company. I had previously purchased replacement parts from them and knew they carried a large inventory of hard to find parts. I first contacted several companies who primarily repaired garage doors until one suggested contacting Genesco. I phoned Genesco and they confirmed that they provided sliding door repairs and could replace the rollers. In fact, they quoted the repair price over the phone provided the repar only involved roller replacement and scheduled my appointment for the following week. Their technician arrived right on time. Because of the type door, he had to remove both the fixed and sliding sections of the door to complete the repair. He did this quickly and efficiently and completed the repair in about one hour. The door now works like new and I am very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of the work that Genesco provided.

When we first called in August 2013, we were told that they only service items that they install. However, because they had worked with us in the past, we called a month later and were told that someone would come out and give us an estimate. The gentleman came out Oct 9 and was unsure he could fix the double door. He thought he could fix the sliding door but would have to order rollers. He said he would talk to his boss about fixing the double door and get back to us. I asked if I should call, if we didn't hear anything. He said no they would definitely call us. We waited two months for the call and decided to hire someone else.

They arrived on time, completed the job as they stated and were very neat and cleaned up all the mess.

They did an excellent job.

My correspondence via email prior to making my decision went well. Once I chose to use their services, I removed the frames with the damaged screens myself and took them to their store. They had them approximately 2 weeks during a Winter holiday season. They called when they were completed and I picked them up and reinstalled myself. The service and quality was all done to my satisfaction. I would return to them if I need the same type repair in the future.

Werner is great to work with and knew the business very well. He alerted me to some potential issues and offered solutions which I readily accepted. Genesco also installed replacement windows and two other exterior doors in our home. They have been wonderful, fair, and a pleasure to work with. I think I have maxed out everything they can do at our house but if I need windows or doors in the future, I will not hesitate in using Genesco.

Called Genesco wanting to know if I could speak to someone about getting a bid on window repair on two Anderson windows. The girl who answered the phone was not friendly at all. She wanted to know if my windows were insulated or not. These windows are 20+ years old and I was unsure if they were or not. These windows are stained glass windows. She pressed the point that she needed to know if they were insulated or not. I felt like I was bothering her and stupid that I did not understand the windows. I asked if someone could come out and take a look at them and she said there is a $95.00 charge to do that. I told her she sounded uninterested. She said she was trying to save me the $95.00 because if my windows were insulated they couldn't do that. Regardless of whether they could handle this job or not, their first contact with customers should be far better. In seconds time, she made me feel stupid and insulted for not being able to give her a correct answer. Having repairs/service done completely and correct is very important, but treating people on the phone with friendliness and the understanding that the caller asking you for service might not understand the product like you do is also very important. A kind, patient explanation of what she was looking for would have gone a long way.

Good experience. Technician replaces the glass in existing window frame expertly right in our driveway. I will continue to use them.

They were very friendly and came on time for the appointment. Many companies we approached before them, refused to do the job, saying it was impossible to do it as it involved a lot of work and replacement. Genesco Window and Building Products Corp sat with us to arrive at a solution, as there was a track already, they agreed to proceed and charged me only $120 for 3 days. I do not have any complaints with their work and will use them in the future too.

They were great. They provided us with a quote first. They were really helpful. We had received other quotes but really liked the interaction we had with Genesco. I would recommend them to anyone. They are really good. they were careful and honest. They were able to help us and work well with us. We got a good value for the windows.

We bought window latches and things like that. I don’t recall the amount we spent but it was very reasonable. We had no problems. I did not go there; my husband went. We will use this company in the future.

It went exactly to plan, they turned up on time and fitted the doors in a morning as estimated. They took all the old stuff away and left the place clean and tidy. It's a great job. The price was more than I originally intended to pay but since the doors are a non-standard size and were made to fit my front doors I guess that it was the going rate for the whole thing. Overall, a great job done by professionals and I would have no hesitation in using them again.

They were very professional to deal with and reasonable priced compared to other companies considering that they were the only company that we could find to provide the product. Their service was prompt and the product was very nice.

If you have an older home they are the best to work with. They specialize in older homes and replacement parts. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

They didn't clean the windows very well when they got done. There ended up being some fingerprints and suction cup marks. The gentleman seemed to be in a hurry. Their price was very reasonable.

They seemed to know exactly what to do, and all their materials were ready. When they tell you something will be ready it will be. They actually placed the windows in the car for me. The company seems to run very well. I would defiantly recommend them to other people.
