Wade Maintz could not have been any nicer or more professional! Most companies won't even bother with a small job like this. He called me right back and arranged to have a look at the damage. He gave me a bid on the spot and told me when he could do the work. He came back and did the work when he said he could and it looks great. He says his company does all kinds of home remodeling--big jobs and small jobs. We would definitely use his company again.

Elite reservations exceeded our expectations by a mile. They are professional, courteous, and dependable. They allowed out of state investors to have peace of mind throughout the remodel and still managed to finish ahead of schedule. I can't compliment them enough!

Wade (the owner) remained in contact with us and updated us along the way. He found items that our insurance adjuster over looked and worked directly with our insurance company to restore the home.

Can’t say enough good things about Wade and his team. I have redone my whole house practically and this was the first project I had Wade at Elite Renovations work on a project. From start to finish he was on time, answered EVERY call or message and made sure everything was to my liking. I converted a basement bathroom to a full gym, gutted the bathroom and installed a double wide fridge into the wall with stone trim. Beautiful work at a very very fair price. Overall 6 Star work.

Wade and his crew were terrific! Great communication, quick work, great clean up. We had a deck that we were literally falling through from age and rot. We had to get it repaired because we want to sell our house fairly soon, and I seriously presented our request as "Put lipstick on this pig so we can get it sold". I wanted to keep costs down and make the most minor repairs necessary to make it acceptable. Wade's recommendation and bid was as low as any other bids we looked at, but offered far better repair ideas. Ultimately, we ended up with a deck that practically looks new, has been brought back to code, and won't need re staining for years! The only downside? We love the deck so much, we are thinking of putting off selling the house!

We were incredibly pleased with the work and care we were given by Wade and the team at Elite Renovations. As a small business owner, I wear many hats but as we expanded I to our new office space, “painter” was not one I wanted to wear. Enter Elite Renovations. Wade made himself available to meet at my new space to assess the need, provided a quick quote for consideration, and had a crew scheduled to begin the work the following week. They were complete ahead of schedule and the transformation was amazing. He even made suggestions that I hadn’t considered and it made a big difference. We couldn’t be happier and will utilize them for any and all projects in the future, both personal and professional.

Wade's pitch is he's tired of seeing other contractors cut corners to make a quick buck and his company will be the opposite of that. I can attest to the fact that Wade and his crew believe in doing the work right and doing it until the client is satisfied. What impressed me the most is how Wade handled the times when weren't happy with the result. Those times where very few but Wade went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the work! He did some closet work for us and there was a miscommunication and Wade ate the cost and redid the work to make sure we were satisfied. The project lasted a few months and they were there most everyday promptly at 7:30. And they always tried to clean up before they left at 4:00. I had never experienced the feeling where I actually wanted a contractor to take a few days off because we needed a break from all of the construction. They also worked happened over the Christmas break and Wade decided to bring bags of gifts to my family! And that's huge because I have twelve kids. That was extremely thoughtful of him. Wade and his crew do great work but where he really wins is when there's an issue Wade will take the "L" so that his clients take the "W". That is extremely rare these days!

Wade and his guys did an outstanding job! I contacted 15 contractors before starting the renovation, and I could tell that Wade was the right choice from the first call. All the other contractors (out of the handful that ever called me back) tried to give me a fixed bid for the renovation just based on a cursory evaluation. Wade was the only one that emphasized that he would make sure that the insurance company paid for all the damage caused, including all of the hidden damage that we uncovered along the way. We only had to pay for upgrades that we decided to do. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only way to handle insurance-related renovations. It's such a load off of your mind. If you're trying to renovate under an insurance claim, you really need to give them a call. The work itself was superb, and Wade's guys were super friendly, professional, and trustworthy. They really cared about doing things correctly and they were flexible and willing to help figure out solutions to any problems that came up along the way. I can't really be more specific because I honestly don't know much about construction, but I could tell that they did very high-quality work. One thing that you should know ahead of time is that Wade and the guys can provide great advice on how to get things done, but they don't really do interior design. You have to have a good idea of what design choices you're going to make, and it's best to be as specific as possible. We did get some kitchen design help from the cabinet supplier (ProSource), though. As long as you don't need an expensive designer to hold your hand, you definitely can't go wrong choosing Wade and his guys.

Overall, excellent results. I feel confident this work and results will increase value and appeal should I sell in future.

Awesome! To start with, we like how Wade bid this job - he just gave us a labor bid, and it was up to us to get all of the materials (which we preferred doing anyway). Wade then offered to go by and pick up the heavy items (tile, counter-tops, etc.). Once Wade and crew start a job, they are at the site every day until completion. The install went very well and we are quite happy with our new bathroom! Note that the cost of service listed below was just the labor - but it was a big tile job of a shower, large tub area, and floor ... the tile portion of the job took 2/3 of the total time. It looks amazing. :)

We couldn’t be happier about our experience with Elite Renovations, LLC. We hired them to completely gut and remodel the basement in our 90 year old home in University City. This was not an easy, straight-forward project! Many issues came up due to the age of the home, yet throughout the job Wade was a pleasure to work with, as was his right-hand man, James. We felt comfortable with them in our home. With the help of a designer, plans were drawn up, the basement was gutted and Wade’s sub-contractors came in to move plumbing and update/move the HVAC and electrical system. We were very happy with the quality of Wade’s work, his daily communication (phone, text and email), and the fact that he was respectful of our budget, our schedule and our home. As an added bonus, He and James cleaned up the site daily, which was much appreciated! Ultimately, they gave us a beautifully finished lower level that is both modern and true to the age/style of our home. We will use Elite Renovations, LLC for future projects and can recommend them without reservation. Thanks Wade!

Elite came in and took out all the drywall and ceilings  then came the mold and they brought in fans and a mold removal company to take care of that.  They had to gut my bathroom, laundry room and kitchen as they were the 3 rooms that took the most damage. They installed all new fixtures in my bathroom, a new water heater in the laundry room and all new cabinets in my kitchen. They put new floors in all my rooms new drywall and painted all the rooms. Brought in an electrician to do the electrical work.  I virtually had to do nothing. Wade kept me informed every step of the way. I went by the house to check on the work and I met employees of Elite and they were always friendly and professional.  Always willing to walk around with me and let me know how things were going.  They did excellent work.  I couldn't believe it was the same house when they were done it is beautiful.  I will always use Elite Renovations.

Wade did a great job building on to our existing deck and adding stairs down to our walk out basement patio. Wade met with us, gave us some great idea's and worked with our budget.

I have never used any other company since Elite Renovations came and rescued us from a poorly done job of renovating the master bathroom in our Lake Forest house in 2010. Since that first job, Wade Maintz has handled every renovation we wanted to do in our 1927 Lake Forest house, including readying it for a buy out when we moved to Boston. Since I returned to StLouis, Elite has performed a few things in my new condo. Wade Maintz is an amazing talent, and among the best people I have ever met. Wade's assistant, Josh is also a very creative and talented guy-who is also a genuinely nice person. I think the world of these two!

Initial conversation with the Elite Renovations owner was very professional. During the initial consultation, he asked very good questions (location of load bearing walls, width of dormer, height of dormer, roofing materials, roofing plans, etc.). After the consultation, it was apparent that an architect and architectural engineer would be needed to ensure the current 100+ year old roof framing would work with the requested modifications. Elite Renovations referred us to the Levine Associates architectural firm. After receiving the final plans from Levine Associates, Elite Renovations consulted with us to ensure the way he read the plans is what we envisioned (e.g. will the side walls extend from the exterior wall to the beam, to the current attic knee walls, or to a new knee wall).
Prior to scheduling a date for the work, Elite contacted Re-roof America, who was going to re-roof the whole house, to coordinate both efforts and ensure the dormer (and house) would not be exposed for an extended period. Elite arrived at agreed time and date to start the project as well as throughout the whole project. Elite was very good about indicating what the goals were for a particular time frame as well as discussing contingencies due to weather. Very good communication throughout the project.
The dormer was finished in a timely manner (couple days delay due to typical weird November weather in St. Louis). The fascia and soffit were installed prior to the roofers arriving. Once the roofers were finished, Elite finished the dormer by installing the siding and windows (the windows chosen by use were an upgrade and took longer than expected to arrive). Elite did a wonderful job of keeping the area clean each day before departure and even performed extra cleanup of the attic prior to departure at the end of the project. The load bearing posts required additional support under the floor. While the floor was exposed, Elite took pictures of the work so inspectors wouldn't require the floor to be opened again. The work was passed by the city code inspector without a hitch.

Wade was referred to us by our neighbors on both sides of us. That's a good recommendation in itself. He works with you to come up with the best options for your project. His work was very well done and reasonably priced. We will definitely be using him in the future.

He had given flyers to a friend that owned a business (Scotti'sDeli and Catering). The flyer included a coupon. We called him, got an estimate and signed a contract. He was always up-front about what needed to be done. When he realized that we would need to replace numerous plywood sheets, he talked with us about the additional (unexpected) cost and he worked out a way for us to repay him over a few months.
