We recently bought the home we now live in. The home had mold and, as part of the mold remediation, we had the seller pay for drain installation to solve the source of moisture that gave rise to the mold in the first place. I was concerned initially when the title company sent the sellers escrow payment to Drainage Solutions prior to the work commencing though. I quickly realized that Paul was someone I could trust. He was very prompt in returning phone calls and, despite record rainfall for the area, he was able to get the job completed fairly quickly. I had to reschedule his team to come back after realizing that one of the downspouts hadn't been re-routed and because one of the pop ups was in a low spot in the yard (causing a very soggy spot.) Even though it was almost 4 months after completing the initial work, Paul scheduled a team to come out and complete the job. The crews are friendly and careful to keep tidy.

The installation team spent three days installing the 6" main and 4' PVC downspout connectors. They just kept digging (mostly by hand) until they got the trenches to the right depth. Their only weak point was the catch basins, which turned out to be mosquito traps after installation. After checking with the manufacturer (NDS), I learned they had been incorrectly installed -- they should have been packed in gravel, then had 1/4" drain holes drilled to allow the water to leech out. Drainage Solutions insisted that was "wrong", but did send an installer out to retrofit the catch basins later. But, this required 10 times more effort than doing it right the first time would have entailed, and he was not able to get the catch basins fully encased in gravel. It remains to be seen if this retrofit will hold up over time. I would easily have rated this company an "A" if they had installed the catch basins properly.
