Sewing Machine Repair
Yes, I recommend this pro
$142
Just Sew is one guy, Will McDonald, who loves sewing machines and is extremely knowledgeable about the quirks of both modern and vintage models. The key issue I had when the zigzag function broke on my 45-year-old machine was, is this worth fixing or should I replace the machine? So Will said he would look not only at the zigzag problem but for ?other looming issues that can spell the end for a Touch & Sew.? We had a detailed email exchange about the costs, options, and pros and cons of replacement on different levels from a new plastic-parts machine at the same price as Will?s estimated repair, to applying what I would have spent on the repair to buying a high-end model. Will?s goal throughout was to give me thorough information so I could decide what I really wanted to do. As a bonus, his estimate for the repairs was $150?$60 for the part, $90 for the labor including the complete tune-up?but the invoice came in at $8 less. :-)
