The final job is truly outstanding. It's extremely attractive with a fully functional new layout that's more convenient in every way. Their innovative new floor and space utilization plans increased storage area and countertop workspace by 30-35%. Their design opened up the kitchen area to integrate very attractively with the adjacent breakfast area. They did excellent finished carpentry work, and the Travertine under-cabinet tile installation is a work of art. Everything from initial design to final construction was perfect in every way.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Duenke organization to anyone seeking a reliable contractor who can do an excellent job from initial design -- to showroom cabinet-counter-hardware selection -- to finished construction. Everyone marvels at the transformation they accomplished for our new kitchen.
I would use them again in a heartbeat!
From the first visit to draw up the plans, it was weeks before they contact us to get things moving. Then at least four weeks after we paid our deposit before any work began. The workmen were considerate and professional, but the project planning was nothing short of terrible. Delays on the flooring, the breakage of three shipments of glass shower doors. Items ordered late leading to more delays. Weeks for them to respond to requests to fix a couple of minor things that we found immediately after they finished. We used them twice, and there will not be a third time.
"Customer's initial visit was on January 3, 2012. Partial contract selections were made and partial contracts were sent on February 22, 2012. We received the first payment from the initial contracts on March 9. Final selections for plumbing items were made on April 4 and payment was received on April 12. Products usually take a minimum of 3 weeks to come in. Our initial start date for the first bath was March 29, 2012 due to our work load and the availability of customer's products. The second bath was started a week later, and the third bath was not started until the first two were complete, allowing the customer to have a functional bathroom. Yes, we did have some delays due to the flooring installation. We no longer work with this particular flooring installer. We also had to reorder four sets of shower doors due to each one being broken in shipment from a well known manufacturer to our supplier. Since then, the manufacturer has changed shipping companies. We did try to use parts from each broken unit to make a complete shower door unit, but were unable to do so, due to the amount of damage. Unfortunately, this ended up postponing the start of the final bath so the customer could have a usable bath. All work for the 3 baths was completed by July 24. Three minor touch-ups were reported about a month after completion."
