Rhonda is a down to earth small town girl who knows everyone in town and let's face it when you are a woman a lot of guys(like Chris from Countertop Solutions) didn't like her pointing out his sloppy work or lack thereof. She works cabinets from the start and my next door neighbor had used her as well. Bigger is not always better guys I found that out the hard way and how I found Rhonda was through an employee at Home depot when I was looking for hinges my contractor Chris said didn't exist. I can't say enough good things. They took extra hours to undo the sub par work that existed and I learned my oven wasn't even level so they leveed that and had to pull the whole oven out to do it. The cabinets were not fastened correctly to each other or the wall so they pulled trim off and had to sand down a cabinet so it was even to the eye and so the cabinet doors hung right. They totally remade the wine rack that was done completely wrong my son could have done a better job in woodshop! When I finally get the kitchen painted they will come back and install the painted trim work around the bottom free of charge. I told them I won't allow anyone else to touch my kitchen. After 5 months of nightmare I can see it coming to an end and it looks great and everything llooks flush, level and professional. She also went over all 48 handles and had to level them because they were drilled wrong to begin with by my initial contractor. Basically she redid my kitchen I wish I had paid her but hopefully my review will save someone else. Read my other review on my first contractor and look at the pictures I can't make up a picture.

They were able to perfectly match the upper and lower cabinets with the cabinets that were already installed. The cabinets arrived without a finish and my husband did the cabinet finishing himself.

My kitchen cabinet draws needed to be repaired for some time. I called Rhonda on Friday morning and asked if she could come out on Saturday moring, to my surprise she agreed. She did an excellant job and the cost was very reasonable.

The cabinets were completed & installed and looked good except for some crooked/warped drawer fronts and the finish on the wall unit which had gotten stuff in it or bubbled. They redid the finish and it's great and tried to adjust but couldn't do much about the drawer fronts. There was no offer to fix this and I thought if that's all that's wrong, I can overlook it. My remodel contractor came to put on the top and discovered the cabinet was 1" too deep (ordered the standard 21" and it was 22"), so the top didn't overhang as it should to protect the drawers and doors. He called Rhonda, who came, took out the cabinet, tore off the back on-site, rigged it with thinner pieces of wood so the back of the drawer glides would have something to attach to and reinstalled it. Then the top was re-attached. I was not able to be present for any of this and didn't see it till the next morning. It was very crooked (obvious next to the floor tile lines) and quite out of level- one end of the cabinet was on the floor tile and the other was behind the tile on the sub floor. I had everyone come back and uninstall everything, at which time I could see how badly mangled the back of the cabinet was after they "fixed" the depth (which was now 21" deep on one end and 20.5" on the other). I asked them to rebuild it from scratch as this was not the quality construction I contracted and paid for, nor for which Rhonda is known. She did so, working through over the weekend and it was reinstalled the next week. Now paranoid, I measured it to find it had also been made ~ 3/4" too short. It never occurred to me that I would have to double check every step of work. That wasn't fixable without starting over yet again and further delaying the job, so that's what I have. Also, all (or most) of the drawers were reused - which is good ecologically, but not when they're warped, so we still have 3 that don't quite close flush to the face frame, plus the center deco panel in front of the sink now tilts in the opposite direction of the warped drawer beside it, accenting the problem visually. I asked for a price adjustment for all these mistakes but Rhonda refused, saying 1) she'd already given me a reduced original price (which put it in line with other bids I'd received) and 2) mostly, because she wasn't making anything on this project due to having to rebuild the cabinet, which of course was their fault. At a glace, everything looks really nice, but due to all that happened, I can't honestly give this experience higher than a "C = fair" rating.

I called to get an estimate for the work and Rhonda was able to come the next day. She looked at the project, said it would be no problem, would run ~$150 but would work up a more precise bid. She thought she could do the work within the next 2 weeks. I waited 2 days for a return call from her with the real price and an exact date, but didn't get one. When I called, she was still working on the estimate, but could do the work the following Thursday. Rhonda and an assistance arrived early. They quickly and easily lengthened the size of the existing "hole". They took the drawer with them to shorten and came back out that afternoon to install it. The opening was to the exact specifications for the new oven. The drawer looks like it was an original one and works smoothly. I was very pleased with the work and have asked her to draw up some specs for a cabinet I want in the basement.

I just took a picture of the space, also of the existing cabinets and took some measurements, then I emailed everything to RJ's shop. They were able to deliver it and install it within a short period of time and it looks just gorgeous.

I picked out the plans, we set a date for after our vacation. Rhonda came to measure. Rhonda was patient with me after three tries to find the color I wanted. When they brought the cabinets they were very respectful of furnishings I had. They were quick to put them in, but Rhonda inspected every thing as it went. If there was anything wrong she took it back to the shop to fix, instead of just making it fit. She had to come back a few days later with new doors for the corner cabinets because they didn't look right to her, I don't know if I would have known the difference. The finished product is beautiful. I have had so many compliments on them.

I am SO IMPRESSED! It took about 8 weeks from the estimate to finished product--they came this morning and installed the shelving, which fit perfectly, and added enormously to the room. The room still looks spacious and now I have all this wonderful storage!

RJ Woodworks is a company run by women carpenters who are excellent at the work they do. The girl we dealt with is Shelainne. From the beginning she had a grasp of exactly what we wanted and was precise in carrying out our wishes in exact detail. After measuring, she faxed us a detailed blueprint with each measurement written in so there could be no mistake about how we wanted the final bookcase to look and to measure. When they installed the bookcase, which was built in their shop in several sections, it was exactly like the drawings and fit like a glove into the space. It is beautifully built, solid and strong, and adds enormously to the beauty of the room. We have used and will use this company again, whenever we have a carpentry job, small or large. These girls are professionals, do wonderful work, and were polite and courteous and professional throughout the entire project. Also their bid was competetive, but reasonable and fair. Five stars *****!

SHELLAINE & RHONDA WERE ALWAYS COURTEOUS AND PROMPT. I PRIMARILY DELT WITH SHELLAINE. SHE HAD A NUMBER OF WONDERFUL SUGGESTIONS THAT WERE ADDED INTO THE DESIGN OF OUR KITCHEN. SHE ACCOMMODATED MY DESIRE TO HAVE STAINED GLASS PANELS IN TWO SETS OF DOORS AND PROVIDED A TEMPLATE SO THAT I COULD DESIGN AND MAKE THE GLASS PANELS TO FIT THE DOORS. WE HAVE 106'' FROM FLOOR TO CEILING AND I WANTED THE CABINETS ON ONE SIDE OF THE KITCHEN ALL THE WAY TO THE CEILING. RJ CUSTOM WOODWORKS CAME UP WITH THE BEST DESIGN FOR THE CABINETS AT THE CEILING LEVEL (COMPARED TO 3 OTHER DESIGNS THAT WE HAD DONE). THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH.
