Our friend locked herself out of the house. She called us and we found this number in the online yellow pages. I gave the location of my friend's house and asked the price of a home unlock. Was told specifically $65 was the charge. There was no discussion about this being the base price or any other possible charges.
Once the technician arrived the price suddenly became $120 take it or leave it. In retrospect, I could have driven there and replaced a window pane for less.
After my friend reported this to me, I called again to inquire why the price difference. I was told "We just quote you the base fee, the technician actually decides on the charge."
