was expected to pay $90 more for a carpet shampooer that I had purchased 8 months prior for $150. I called Hoover and their representative was empathetic but said that because it was not a mechanical defect they were not responsible. Who is responsible??: I did not select this Hoover service repair center - it was where the representative said for me to take the carpet shampooer. I was never provided an estimate by HOUSE OF VACUUMS for the $90 which would have enabled me to make a choice as to whether I wanted the item repaired for that cost. I hope I can save others from the frustration I have endured. Today, I called the store HOUSE OF VACUUMS to let them know I would be picking up the vacuum on Thursday. I was treated very rudely on the phone. I guess customer service is not important anymore.
"Member, The House of Vacuums and Sew is under new ownership as of June 1st and we are doing everything we can to improve our customer service. Your comments have help us! I hope you will give us (as the new owners) a chance. Thank you Brian and Sherri"
