They negotiated with insurance.. took a while both insurance side and roofer side. After getting the amount the agreed to they decided they no longer wanted the job. Leaving me with a partially tarped roof that still leaks and now I have to start the process over with the city threatening fines since the debris from damage has still not been removed 2 months after the storm.

I would definitely recommend Cal-Mar Roofing Specialists to anyone who asked me. This new roof install was not the first time we called on Clay at Cal-Mar Roofing Specialists. We had had a small leak by our front door a couple of years before. Clay responded to our inquiry, diagnosed and repaired it quickly, efficiently, and for a very reasonable price. He told us at the time that we would need to replace the roof in the next year or two. So when we had another leak this time, we called him, and he confirmed it was another valley leak, and this time we really needed to do the full replacement. He drew up a bid that was nicely detailed and very reasonable, so we agreed to hire. When his crew came out they were pleasant and efficient. I never saw them just sitting around except for a short lunch break. They ran into one unexpected obstacle during the project that required a revision of their work plan, but they let me know, I approved, and it didn't stop the progress of the work. They got it done all in one day. Two other things I really appreciated. The first was how clean his crew left the worksite. They rolled the lawn with a magnet for stray nails, and picked up all the pieces of wood and other debris. The only difference from when they arrived was some flattened grass that took care of itself in the next few days. I really appreciated this, because when we had new siding put on our house a few years ago, the siding crew left pieces of siding all over that I am still finding when I turn the earth over in my flower beds each year. The contrast between the crew that put on our siding, and Clay's crew, is like night and day. The other thing I appreciated about Clay's work was his attention to detail, and working with my special requests. We had one place where a roof valley dumped water onto the wood deck of our front step, which created ice issues during the winter. I asked if he could devise something so it would drain away from the step. It was a little tricky, but he designed something both practical and aesthetically pleasing, and didn't charge extra. Apologies for being long-winded, but I trust these details will show you why I believe my original statement -- I would definitely recommend Cal-Mar Roofing Specialists to anyone who asked me. (P.S. -- you may note I rated the work at a 4.5. I'm not the type that likes to give a top rating on anything, so I gave him just below. There must be something that could have been done better -- I just don't know what it is.)

He called right after placing my request with HomeAdvisor . Came out the same day and did the repair needed to our roof. Fast service,through and reasonably priced.

Clay called me within a few minutes after I entered my request. he came ontime and fixed the problem, and at a fair price.

Clay, returned phone calls in a timely manner, answered all questions and concerns....replaced leaking roof vent......will know more about the repair job after the next rain...A++++

Had a couple of tiles that had blown off they replaced the tiles and also put longer nails in some of the shingles that the roofing company (Prestige Roofing Co) didn't use long enough nails Price was great !!!
