He was very easy to get along with. He worked during the day while we were at work. He asked if he could work on saturday as well and we allowed that even though we were home. He helped in picking out tile colors which matched our wall colors and woodwork. We bought tile and he bought backerboard and grout. His quote matched this and was competitive with two other quotes we got before issueing the contract to C&C. He started on the master bathroom, it was a diagonal cut with medallions on the corners. He set it while we were at work, when I saw the finished product I was dissapointed there were grout lines that didnt line up, some of the grout was wider in places than others and he didnt wash all the grout out of the intricate detail in the medallions. I told him i was dissapointed in the work and he blamed it on the tile being cut different from the factory. I let it slide and allowed him to finish all the other tile and wood. The other tile looked much better than the master bath because it was a simpler design, however there were still some questionably wide grout lines on the borders. He had a cabinet maker help him with the hardwood on the stairs and we are pleased with it. After all the work was done and we still owed him money for the completion of the job i told him i wasnt happy with the Master bathroom and decided I couldnt let it slide. I gave him the option to fix it and I would pay him the balance or he could walk and I would withold final payment. The final payment was roughly the amount we payed for labor of the Master Bath. He said he would get back to me on if he would fix it or not, i called and left 3 messages after that and he never returned my call. I left it at that and considered it done.
