Walcutt's Outstanding Windows

All went extremely well! We talked to several companies and chose Walcutt's Outstanding Windows. Dewey was awesome when we first contacted, he answered all our questions, and we were appreciative of his making very appropriate suggestions along with his reasoning. He is extremely detailed, provides awesome customer service, and very trustworthy. He and his son were respectful and tidy as they worked. We had 25 large windows replaced. Several people have commented on how nice they look. We highly recommend Dewey and will definitely work with him again on future projects!!

Everything went great with the window and siding installation and I would recommend WOW to my friends and neighbors.

I would highly recommend Walcutt's Outstanding Windows. Dewey and his son are very professional, honest and do outstanding work. I decided to use WOW after interviewing a few other window companies. His bid for doing full frame replacement was not that much more than a competitor's bid using the same window but using inserts. The house is 30 years old and I was concerned that I had some wood rot under 1 or 2 windows so wanted full frame replacement windows, was not comfortable using window inserts. Dewey was very honest and told me upfront that if there was significant wood rot there could be an additional charge. Fortunately only one window had wood rot and the additional charge was reasonable. Dewey did a great job installing the windows, including the interior and exterior trim. I needed to leave a few hours before WOW finished working on day 1 and was very comfortable leaving them alone in my house. When I returned they had secured the house and garage and even let my dog out of his pen as instructed. After much research I decided to use the ProVia Endure white vinyl windows. White was not want I initially wanted but I like the ProVia window but their interior color selection is very limited. It has only been a week since the windows were installed but the reduction in the outside noise in less and I love being able to easily open the windows.

We interviewed several companies and Walcutt’s Outstanding Windows (WOW) stood out right away. Dewey walked through the house and began measuring each window right away. He quickly began making suggestions about replacement of windows from different sizes to options that would make a difference in the bottom line. Our project was a very large project and Dewey created a very nice invoice that included every detail that he would be completing. It was broke out for pricing of each line item. That helped us understand where the money was being spent. It also allowed us to have discussion about where we could cut costs and make adjustments to prioritize what was most important. Dewey is very professional that he makes sure to keep the work zone neat and clean. He respects the homeowner and values their opinion during the process. He is spot on with the time it will take him to complete the project. He is the WOW in Walcutt’s Outstanding Windows! Dewey set each door precisely and we were amazed at the quality of his work through and through! As he discovered issues that were unforeseen he was clear about what needed to be done to protect the homeowners investment. He is knowledgeable about home construction and is an expert in his profession. They completed the interior trim and I was having a difficult time conveying what I wanted. Dewey was so calm and brought me an example of what it would look like two different ways. It helped me make an informed decision. He completed the interior special trim to perfection! I was beaming at the work he had completed and it was so beautiful! Folks, Walcutt Outstanding Windows does more than just windows! Dewey is the real deal! You don’t find professionals with this much expertise and talent! We know that Dewey went above and beyond in some areas to make sure it was done properly. We cannot say enough about the quality of work and we are so happy that we chose Walcutt’s Outstanding Windows….WOW! I think the name says it all. You will be so happy if you choose Dewey and his son to complete your project!

Installation was outstanding. Showed up on time as scheduled. Owner & his son are hard workers and completed the job ahead of schedule.

WOW did full-frame window replacements for all of our front windows. The two-man crew was professional, clean, and extremely hard working. We did get bids for the job that were cheaper, but any cheaper bids were for lower quality work (pocket frame inserts instead of full-frame replacement). We wanted to verify that we did not have any water damage around our frames, and we didn't want the cheaper look of window inserts, so we went with WOW. We are very happy with the result. We saved a little bit of money by painting the interior trim and hanging our new blinds ourselves (the ladder shown in the external view of the upstairs window is ours, not WOW's).

This was the second time we've hired Dewey to replace windows. This contract was for the second half of the house that we chose not to replace previously just to spread out the cost. I highly recommend Dewey for anyone interested in top quality workmanship. The window brand he installs is good quality, but what sets him apart is the the installation. I'm confident that our new windows will be leak-free for years. He (and his son Brian) also did all the other "little things" to make sure I was a satisfied customer. They were responsive to all my communications and questions, they were punctual, they finished within the time they said they would, they kept me informed of progress and any potential issues, they cleaned up and hauled away all the debris from the old windows, and they are friendly and personable. Dewey even re-installed some wooden interior shutters without my asking because knew I wanted to re-use them.

Dewey replaced the windows within the timeframe he indicated. Additionally, he discovered some wood rot and was able to repair it as well. Dealing with Dewey, he was always upfront with costs and expectations. We will use him again.

Dewey replaced all the siding on the front of my home. He reset windows that were poorly installed by another contractor. He covered the fascia board and soffit of my entire house with vinyl. He is skilled craftsman. He performed all of this work over a year ago. I have found no defects. He does excellent work.

Many of these windows were over sized and had to be custom ordered. That process takes a long time, however, they were good quality windows. Dewey and his son did all the work, which also means that it may be awhile before complete installation if you have many windows, however, Dewey is very professional, and there was minimal inconvenience while the work was being done.

Everything went according to schedule. Dewey did exactly what he said. He responded to my communications very quickly. And it is hard to get someone to come out for one window, but he did it and at a fair price!

Dewey was timely in the completion of the services agreed to, and his prices were quite fair. I was extremely pleased with the end product, and I would definitely use him again for any and all window needs.

This is the second house that Dewey replaced the windows on. The windows were large and then 2nd floor is quite high. Job was started on time. He found additional water damage, which he repaired.  With additional issues he needed an extra 1/2 day to complete. So overall time estimate was spot on. He also kept the house neat and picked up throughout the job.

I was very pleased with everything he did; As all around. Two people came out and it took two days to complete. The clean up was terrific, a good job from start to finish.

Mr. Walcutt was very professional, prompt, meticulous in his work and answered all our questions as well as explaining each step along the process. When he left the completed job, the only evidence that he was here was a beautiful new window. No mess left behind.

Dewey and his crew did a great job installing windows for us. We've used Dewey in the past and I'm sure we'll use him again in the future. You won't be disappointed.

My experience with Dewey was great. Before the job was awarded to him, he spent 1.5 hours just looking at the problem. The other contractors only spent on average 15 minutes and came up with much higher estimates and told me to replace more than what Dewey recommended. Dewey patiently explained to me everything and was very reasonable with his pricing. Dewey was always responsive, courteous, and respectful in his dealings. I did not have one instance where Dewey did not answer my call or did not call me back right away. I was really impressed. He did a great job overall and he kept his promises. I would recommend Dewey to anybody needing any work done on their house.

If you're not interested in the usual process of having a sales guy comes out, then a scheduling person, then a foreman/crew to do the actual job, Dewey is your guy. He does it all and does it well. We were very satisfied with the whole process and will definitely be using him again in the future.

The scheduling, promptness and quality were excellent. We were advised of progress and next steps regularly.

Every aspect of the project went smoothly. From our initial meeting to discuss project requirements to final installation and clean up, all good. As with most projects, additional decisions were required by me - Dewey was excellent at discussing and offering multiple options. Upon removing one of the windows he discovered some missing framing boards which he added to make the install 'done right'. I felt like he did the job the way I would do it myself - if I had the skills and equipment.

In a word, excellent! Dewey Walcutt is the consummate professional. He does outstanding quality work, but that's just part of the story. Dewey handled every aspect of our job, including painting, repair carpentry and even some minor dry-walling. None of the other suppliers offered this complete installation and every window was replaced all the way to the rough edge to avoid loss of glass space. With other contractors, I would have had to hire out the separate trades and dealt with all the hassle of scheduling them in. Dewey ran into several unexpected problems, primarily associated with below the surface wood rot. In each instance, he recommended what should be done to complete the job professionally and prevent recurrence and he priced it out on the spot and fairly. He was always responsive to what we wanted as the customer and always had good suggestions to be sure that we would be satisfied. He's also a pleasure to work with. Having the business owner on the job full time and making decisions on the go, without having to appeal to a higher authority is a great value. Dewey was also very conscientious about cleanup and careful not to do any damage to any of our structure or contents. We would highly recommend Dewey for any window job and wouldn't hesitate for a second to rehire him. While not the lowest bidder, he certainly turned out to provide us with the least cost total installation. We are so glad we made the decision to hire him!

Dewey was always on time and worked hard all day long quitting around 5 pm. He is very careful and his craftsmanship was excellent. He was well trusted and had full access to our home.

I contacted WOW with a tight deadline and a list of strict requirements from my HOA. Dewey was able to meet all my requirements without any issues. He replaced seven windows.
1 picture window. 1 single window, double hung. 1 wide single window, double hung. Two double wide windows, double hung. All of these windows were on the second floor. He took down and replaced my drapes and window shades, replaced some bad window sills, and edged in the windows nicely. The job took about 2.5 days once he started installing.
Overall I'm quite happy with my new windows.
