They were great. It was super cold and they came the day after I called. They were very professional and very careful. I had tree branches that were rubbing on my house and they were very careful of trimming those branches without damaging the house. They also removed the giant tree without even touching mine or my neighbor's house. They even did a great job cleaning up. It was wonderful.

A neighbor had Starks Tree &
Stump do some work for them on 10/15/13.  Bob Griffis, one of the workers
on that project, knocked on our door and offered to trim and feed our trees at
a discount while in the area.  We were encouraged to research the company,
and see what a great reputation they have?and they did have a good rating with
Angie?s List and no problems reported to BBB.  Although we did not think
the price was all that discounted, we agreed they would do the work.
 
One of our sprinkler lines was
punctured in the process of the fertilizer being inserted into the
ground.  We called Bob?s cell phone, and were told, ?These things
sometimes happen.  We will be out later today to take a look at it, and
get it fixed.?  No one ever showed up. 
 
We continued to call Bob and get
promises that the work would be taken care of.  This went on for a couple
of weeks.  The office was called, and Mike said someone would be out that
day.  Bob did come out, but only dug a hole in the yard, and told us it
was an easy fix.  He would be back the following day with all the
materials needed.  No show.
Eventually the office told us this
job was not a service done by the company, but on the side by Bob.  Our
check was made out to company, but we were asked to rewrite the check payable
to the owner (of Starks Tree and Stump).
 
On 11/13/13, 4 weeks after the tree
service was performed and the water line was damaged, we could no longer leave
exposed water pipes, and had another company fix it.

Stark's Tree and Stump trimmed tree between our property and neighbors. We live in an old neighborhood and this is a large, old, tall, tree, requiring professional services. 
The employees were courteous, considerate and professional in everything the did. They removed the branches with skill and expertise and most importantly were safety conscious from beginning to end. They were careful of their surroundings, making sure there was no damage to any property or the landscapes. I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them highly.
Getting tree work done can be costly, make sure you go with a company that knows what they are doing. Starks Tree and Stump is the one.

They were flexible with price, provided a service for what we said we wanted to spend. Creative about having the wood hauled away so it lowered the price. They were all very friendly and amazing to watch.

Everyone on the block enjoyed watching Matt Stark climb the tree and work.  He clearly enjoys what he does.  All work was done quickly and as promised.

I really liked these guys.  They were good, friendly, explained everything well, and did what I wanted in a timely manner.  Clean up was also excellent.  I believe they know what they are doing.
