We couldn't be more pleased with Star Energy Consultants work. Mr. Meyer performed the assessment in a professional and friendly manner. He pointed out many simple fixes for problem areas. We have a very high level of confidence in Mr. Meyer and his company. The best part of Star Energy's service is that they can help provide estimates from competent tradespeople to perform the recommended work. They also follow-up on the the rebates for us. We are going to implement all of Star Energy's recommendations, which were not as expensive as we were dreading. We look forward to achieving a higher level of temperature comfort in our home. We wish we had done this several years ago. Why did we wait so long?

I was pleased with the energy audit and Ben provided assistance with finding contractors to complete the improvements and applying for qualifying rebates.

Went very well the house was at 36%. When we were done it was at 23% which is right where it should be.

The initial audit was informative and after we had the air sealing done he came back for follow up door blower testing. He was able to improve our home's air seal efficiency by around 20%.

Still working to schedule the work to be done, but communication is great and Ben is very responsive.

The air sealing guy did great and even gave me some tips on mud jacking vs. foam on our driveway area. Everyone was very professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job! I couldn't be happier with the level of service we received at such a fair price! Energy Star Consultants were a fraction of the price quoted by other companies and they took care of all the rebates!

It went very well. He printed out all the results and went over each problem area and gave my family his recommendations on how to remedy the problem areas.

The work went smoothly and quickly. We were in the process of moving and getting our home ready to sell so quick completion was important to us. Star Energy filled out all necessary paperwork for KCP&L on our behalf. They kept us informed on the status of the rebate application.

We ended up adding attic insulation and sealing the area between the floor joists in the basement. Ben went above and beyond to help with rebates. He even got us a rebate that went into effect after our completion and got it approved. We would never have known that we missed the rebate. Plus, he had great recommendations for companies to add the insulation and sealer. I highly recommend him.

Ben was very professional and informative in his services. He identified several areas where my older home could be beefed up in the energy savings department. No only did he identify areas of need but also had suggestions of how to fix the items. I also appreciated that it was not a vessel for him to up sell me on his own services. Ben showed me the areas that needed work and then simply suggested ways I could fix them to include using other contractors' services. The report I got was detailed and rivaled most home inspection reports. Overall I was very satisfied.

We just purchased a 100-year-old home and we brought Ben Meyer in to help us out with making sure the house was ready for the winter. We are so glad we did, he very kindly explained all the issues we needed to work on and helped us find some great service contractors for us to address those areas. Ben was great. He explained everything. He checked my appliances, air leakage throughout the house and examined my electric bills. He gave me a thorough report of the mitigation strategies he recommended and then put me in touch with another contractor to perform the work.

Ben Meyer was really a pleasure to work with! He was very courteous, professional, prompt, and helpful. He performed the energy audit and provided a report as agreed, and made suggestions. I chose which steps to take now based on the report -- air sealing and additional insulation in the attic -- and he provided contact information for the service providers. All the work was done promptly and satisfactorily, and I paid Ben for it. He then did the paperwork required for the rebate, which arrived in the mail today. I had to schedule the appointments for the work myself, but there wasn't much else for me to do.

Ben was very prompt.  He was very thorough, yet very expeditious.  He was more than willing to answer any questions we had, relevant or not.  He was very friendly, yet professional and informative.   His services were well worth the cost ($299).  One of the best things about Ben was the fact that Energy Auditing is his exclusive profession.  What I mean  by that is he doesn't own a Heating & Air Conditioning or an Insulating business and do the Energy Auditing on the side, which in my opinion, is a conflict of interest.  He did not try to upsell me to any other services or unnecessary equipment.  As a matter of fact, he told me I could make all the improvements myself, at a very lost cost.  I highly recommend Ben and his services!  I will definitely refer him to all my friends, co-workers, and even strangers whom I know who owns a home.  100% A+ work!  Thanks Ben!

Ben provided a comprehensive audit, very detailed with all the areas that had opportunities for improvement as well as
what was fine with no action required. He also provided estimates with some suggestions for vendors which worked out great as it saved me time searching for them, and the ones I used did a great job with no issues. One important finding was the fact that one of our hot water heaters was producing high levels of carbon monoxide. ( Luckily it was contained within the flue and we have 2 40 gallon heaters so could just turn it off.) We since replaced both heaters since they were 15 years old. He came back in March and performed the post audit and showed me the results. I was more than satisfied with Ben?s work and professionalism.
