Doctor acted like he didn't have time to waste on me. Maybe he didn't as busy as they were.

From start to finish everything was outstanding – greeted with a smile from Sharon – Dr Rapley taking the time to understand and explain – and Tony's expertise in taking care of me at the end made it an outstanding visit.

Dr. go always seemed like he was trying to ‘’go’’ our the door. No time for a patient. I wore a cast for 4 weeks the we termed to the office. They x-ray my arm then removed the cast. I wore a brace for 4 wks and did therapy for 4 wks, then I returned to his office. They x-rayed my arm & decided. I might have another fractured bone. So after 4 wks of therapy they recast my arm and sent the for on MRI. (he said he couldn’t see anything on the previews x-ray because it was taken wrt the cast on… but he removed it because the break looked good? ) I might try another Dr in this group but I would not return to Dr. Go. #1. Quality of care #2 gay black male nurse was more than I could stomach.

I am a patient with this office for years but wanted to comment also on the exceptional office staff. Belinda has helped me several times over the years in scheduling followups, therapy and obtaining records. Rockhill Ortho. is very fortunate to have Belinda on staff.

Both of these doctors, Patel and Rapley, are genuinely caring and concerned and spend an adequate amount of time to be sure they understand your concerns and answer any questions. They are very thorough and good at what they do. We drive from Lawrence to see these doctors and they are definitely worth the drive.

With all of the Doctor's that my family has seen between Arizona and MO/KS, Dr. Patel is a head and shoulders above all of them due to his concern for his patients, his "bedside manner" and his communication in addition to this skill with surgical tools.  Even in 2014, there are Doctors that still aren't fans of patients looking up their own symptoms online, but Dr. Patel recommends it so that his patients have more knowledge about their illness/problem.  Due to where my daughter is at with her growth plates, she has needed 2 surgeries to attach, and keep attached, a tendon to a bone in her foot.  Even after these 2 surgeries, when she plays soccer or runs, her foot still bothers her.
Dr. Patel decided to try a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injection which most insurance companies won't cover as they consider it still "experimental".  Initially he gave us a very low rate to have it done which we immediately agreed on, but the day before the procedure his office called us and told us that Dr. Patel decided he would do it for free.  He was that concerned about how my daughter's foot is still bothering her and where she is at with her development and wanted to make sure we had it done.  This is a perfect example of how he has treated us since our very 1st visit to him ~3 years ago...all of our interactions with him and his staff are like this.
I would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone that has the need to see an orthopedic surgeon as we wouldn't go anywhere else for all of our soccer injuries!

Dr. Dugan asks a lot of questions and does not assume things. He did take a precautionary x-ray but left it up to me to schedule an MRI when the x-ray did not reveal anything. He also wrote me a prescription for some physical therapy versus talking about surgery like a lot of doctors would do. He is friendly and no-nonsense at the same time.

I made an appointment with Dr. Go and found out I have a torn meniscus. Dr. Go was very thorough in reviewing the film and showing me a model of the knee. He answered all of my questions. I had two appts. The first one he reviewed an x-ray I had and recommended an ultrasound. The staff was very helpful and friendly about ultrasound options and recommended a place much cheaper than going through insurance. I have decided to put surgery off for a while, and in the meantime, get a second opinion.

Surgery went perfectly fine aside from a pretty poor reaction to the anesthesia on my part, which is nothing new for me. Procedure was completed by Dr. Dugan at the Kansas City Surgicenter, which did a fine job taking care of me. I made it home that afternoon and was laid up in bed for the next couple days with my Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine doing all the work. I must stress that using the CPM as early and as often as possible, I believe, really helped me recover quickly. I was back to work the following Monday on crutches (my procedure was on a Wednesday). I was on crutches for about 3 weeks (I gradually went from using two down to being able to get by on one). I started rehab at Summit Physical Strength six days after my procedure. That all went well. I am now 4 months out from my procedure and doing great. Have regained a lot of my strength by doing weight training and the stationary bike and am trying to ease myself back into light jogging. Throughout the process Dr. Dugan has been really good to work with and made me feel completely comfortable with everything I had to go through. Highly recommend him.

The procedure went well and my knee is mending, but my right front tooth was broken off at the gum line, I beleive, by a device or process used to maintain my air way and stuck back into my mouth. It required a painful root canal and post implant and a new crown to be made. The surgery center claimed no one was at fault, that the tooth just happened to fall out that same day, forty five minutes after leaving the hospital because I tryed to eat an apple ( I was eating apples before I had the procedure! ) They refused to pay for the insurance cost and so exausted all my dental benefits for the year.
