Had them out to install some concrete edging. Guys were clean and professional and did a fantastic job. I would not hesitate to have them perform any service on my property.

The laying/pouring of the curbing was neat, fast, and efficient. They have special equipment to lay the curbing. Two men worked their butts off and finished up before the projected time end. They took care not to damage any of my plants and to preserve rocks collected that I had previously used for border around my rock gardens.

We worked with Olympic for 2 years, so the $2,000 is over that period. We paid $70 a mow. They insisted that the mowing be weekly during April, May and June or until the rains dropped off, or it would cost them too much money to mow our lawn. Everything was on their terms and there are not a lot of companies that mow out in a semi-rural area so I put up with it for two years until they got real dishonest. With this company it was all about their profit. They insisted on telling us how much they would mow. We could take it or leave it. I put up with it until last year. Last summer when we had all that drought they were still charging us a full mowing charge every month even though the whole lawn was drought stressed and not growing at all for more than 2 months. I told them to stop mowing and we would not be calling them back this year. They're obnoxious to work with and are fired for dishonesty, which earns them an F. If you can't be honest with me and you rip me off you fail.
Response from Olympic Lawn & Landscape, Inc.
"During 2012 [member name removed] lawn was mowed weekly from 3/30 until 6/15. It was then cut back due to the dry weather conditions which slowed down the grass growth. It was mowed one more time in June, once in July and once in August. In Sept it was mowed 3x as we had moisture and the grass was growing again. It was then mowed a final time on 10/5 at which time we informed [member name removed] that it would be his final mow, and we hoped that he would find a provider who would better meet his needs. This information was included on his final invoice. Our mowing jobs are bid based on the time it takes to mow a designated lawn/area. When the grass is growing and a customer asks us to skip a mow letting their grass grow taller than normal, it then takes more time to mow which means that we need to increase the cost for the mow. During drier parts of the summer when the grass isn’t growing we typically cut back on our mowing and customers do not pay for the skipped mowings; however if a customer is irrigating their lawn we may need to continue to mow on through the season. We do not take advantage of our customers nor do we want to be taken advantage of. [Member name removed] calls us dishonest, however, that is absolutely not true. At any time if he disagreed with our service and rates he could have ended our business relationship. Why did it take him two years to decide that he was so dissatisfied? We provide a quality service and charge fair prices. In the nine years that we have been in business, this is the first negative review that we’ve received; however, we’ve received numerous positive reviews over the years. Our customers are satisfied with our service and our business continues to thrive and grow. [Member name removed] also called us obnoxious to work with but our employees are very respectful, polite and hard working. We worked with him for two years and tried to maintain a good working relationship but found that we couldn’t satisfy him. It’s easy to slam a business with words but when you do you should make sure you’re being accurate and respectful as well. I believe that anyone who reads [member name removed] comments will see through them and see that he was treated fairly and honestly. Has he done the same with us?"

We were pleased with the job that they have done for us a year ago so as a member of the Home Owners' Association, we recommended the company to do the edging of our traffic circle. They were excellent and professional on their works.

Mr. Brown was very professional when he arrived to give an estimate, and then he presented it in a nice professional form. Once we decided to go with his offer my wife and I visited his shop and viewed the various color and pattern choices and decided to go with the color Mr. Brown suggested. It ended up being just what we needed. The install crew arrived early in the day and did not quit until the job was done. All in one day. They were very courteous and professional and cleaned up when they were done. I could hardly tell they had hauled so much rock and concrete around the yard. One of the crew took time to explain the process to me when I asked. I did not have to pay until the work was complete. I plan to have more done next year and will definitely be calling them back.

Olympic provides prompt and reliable service. Two men generally show up and mow our 3 acres in about an hour or less. They then clean off the sidewalks and driveway. We have used them probably a dozen times and have been satisfied with their work.
