McIntyre Mann Carpet One Floor & Home

Unacceptable service from McIntyre Mann Carpet One! Neither McIntyre Mann Carpet One's rep nor I knew that the installer has to use additional trim pieces for vinyl floor covering retrofits. The installer, a third party contractor, immediately spotted that McIntyre Mann and I didn't have these vinyl trim pieces in the order with the vinyl covering. He explained that without the trim pieces the vinyl covering lifts at all of the edges in several months. He further explained that removing the base board is not done because it damages the wall painting or covering and causes further expense. Hence, the extra trim pieces that avoids this problem. Because I had never had been involved with a vinyl floor covering installation I, of course didn't know any of this, and went with the high bidder, "a storefront business" like McIntyre Mann, and passed on using the local home improvement store or local installer. I know nothing about vinyl floor covering and was happy to pay for their supposed expertise. I wanted to avoid a do it yourself approach and stick with a professional company. I simply wanted to pay for someone else to do it with minimal fuss. Boy, was i wrong about avoiding do it yourself work by choosing McIntyre! It took from August until October to get it done. I had to take multiple trips to various home supply stores to look for the vinyl floor covering trim pieces, then I made several trips to Sherwin Williams to get the stain to match, an afternoon for me painting all of the stain, and an extra $125 out of my pocket for second installer visit. And now I'm stuck making complaints to BBB and Angie. Please use somebody else.

I was really impressed with them. They did a great job. The people that put it down gave us a great deal. My experience with them was great. Everything was great; I cannot say anything bad about them. They have called back since to make sure everything was still good. They were very nice and very helpful and they laid it just beautifully. We are very happy with it. The man that came out and measured was very nice and made sure everything was done nicely. The price was very good. We have recommended them to several people.

make sure you get anything and everything in writing.  now they wont fix the run which I do belive to be a factory defect.
