It is the job of the home inspector to not only evaluate the condition of the house's major systems and structural integrity, but also to evaluate how these systems are working together and identify areas that need to be watched, repaired or replaced. Your home inspector will provide great education and maintenance tips for your future home ownership. Your home inspector gives you the Big Picture analysis with use of forensics and knowledge of the house you are purchasing. If the home inspector identifies the need for a costly, detailed analysis of any of the houses' systems or structures, the inspector will recommend the appropriate professional, which may be an experienced engineer with expertise analyzing that particular system or structure. The need for this kind of expensive, detailed analysis is rare. Hiring a Professional Engineer on your own can be a disappointing experience. The term Professional Engineer does not mean that the individual has training or experience conducting home inspections. Additionally, a home inspection does not involve engineering analysis. Therefore, hiring a Professional Engineer to complete a home inspection undoubtedly costs more, but it may not give you the results you desire and deserve.

He pretended to be a third party when I had discovered that my roof vents had been put on incorrectly causing moisture to be trapped in my attic which in turn froze when extreme cold weather came and then melted and destroyed every ceiling in my home. This same water that was froze in my attic and melted also destroyed my siding and you could clearly see that it had destroyed my siding from the inside out since there was insulation from the inside of my home mixed with the water that had burst from my interior. With all of these very obvious things that had occurred at the same time Nick decided to ignore everything that I had said and didn't want to look at my pictures of the ice that had formed or my destroyed ceilings and he sided with his buddies at the big corporate roofing company. You can literally go to mocasenet and punch inspectornick.com into the name and pull up lawsuits filed against this company. I wouldn't trust him.

He has not done the job good at all. Now I see plenty of issues he didn't even talk about it and not mentioned in his report. 1st review I gave him was good be'z I was not having the proper knowledge. Now I know the details, and I can say for sure he has not done the good job. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL.

Nick is an amazing man. I don't use the term "never" very often, but I will use it to describe my experience with InspectorNick. Nick was very professional, thorough and completely transparent with his expert perspectives on the condition of my property. Company conducted a home inspection for a house I was purchasing. They are easy to do business with and are on time and provide clear pricing and information. Inspector Kevin Lancaster did a thorough job on the inspection for a home I was considering buying. Arrived 5 min early, walked me through the entire house, inside and out, pointing out all the Major and minor concerns of my newly constructed house. He found an improperly sloped water pipe and numerous other small problems that left unchecked can become big problems. I never would have found most of these issues by myself and glad I payed the money for the inspection.

Both times we hired Inspector Nick, we were very impressed! They were on time, quick (but did not rush). They spent the perfect amount of time explaining things to us. They were very knowledgeable. The inspection report had a very quick turn around. The report was thorough and easy to understand. We found Inspector Nick (and all the other inspectors with the company) to be very trustworthy. He was extremely detailed and informative. His report provide much needed details to address suspected issues. I did not realize how thorough he was until I had a structural engineer review a few items that Nick has suggested in his report. One of these items included a floor joist that was not properly constructed and supported. Even the structural engineer wanted to know who I had used to inspect my house, because he indicated that the other 99% of home inspectors would have never even had caught the problem with that specific joist.

Bryan performed this inspection for my mother and took over 3 hours for an inspection that usually takes 1 hour. I was a bit tensed about my new home (which I am going to buy) inspection. But when I meet Nick and saw him working I was happy that I hired him for the job. He is very knowledgeable and checks all manor and minor items. His is report is through with color pictures, which helps a lot to locate the issue easily. He is always ready to answer my questions. They are fantastic. He has 3 qualified men who help with the inspections and they are perfect gentlemen. They are informative and will tell you everything you need to know. Kevin was early and began the inspection immediately. He was extremely thorough and professional and pointed out and talked through everything he saw small or large.
