Evolving Landscapes has done work for us for several years and they are amazing. The crew is professional and hard working and respectful and the work they do is perfect. The designs my wif and Kris came up with were stunning the the execution was again...perfect. 5 stars is not enough. We've used other companies before we found Evolving Landscapes and we're so glad we found a company we can trust to do exceptional work. You can be lucky too! Call them.

These guys were great. They arrived on time, completed the work to spec, and were very detailed. I've used other landscapers in the past, and a lot of them cut corners or forget the little things - but that wasn't the case with these guys. They moved my existing sprinkler heads out of the flower beds, removed all of the utility flags from the yard, and even put some of the extra mulch on one of my existing trees. I will definitely be a returning customer. The price was also very competitive, I've had other work done in the past (and even had another quote encompassing this work), and their price was the lowest.

Kris completed what was quoted, on time and very professional.

Kris and his guys arrived on time this morning, the guys went straight to work while Kris checked in with us to make sure exactly what we wanted. First thing they had to do was take out a stubborn root from a tree that had fallen a couple of years ago. Next they filled up an area that I had taken all the rubber mulch from leaving it much lower than the rest of the area. After this they leveled the area and sloped it away from the house. Laid out edging to divide rock from sod, placed weed retardant, put down lots of river rock, and then sodded out the rest of the area. They kept the area amazingly orderly for all they were doing. Cleaned up the work area nicely. I was doing a little rock removal outside the work area, prepping a small patch for some sod later. Kris not only offered me the sod but one of the guys cut it and laid it out for me. Not expected but totally appreciated. Even threw down some extra sod in a couple bare areas. Put some rock outside the fence in an area I didn't even think about but he did. Thank you guys. It looks beautiful. Would hire again, of course, already have him working up a quote on another project.

My yard was an absolute mess.  I decided to have it Xeriscaped. Kris made suggestions and I liked what he had in mind.  Mowing was always a challenge so they created a scape with river rock interspersed with a few plants.  He moved existing plants that I wanted to keep.  All in all I am very please with the work Kris and his crew did.  I would definitely recommend this company.

I contacted Kris via Angie's List, and he responded within 24 hours. We set up a time for him to look at the site and he arrived on time.  He also provided his estimate to me in a timely manner.  I scheduled the work and he/his crew arrived on the scheduled date and on time.  They completed the work in 2 days.  I appreciate Kris' professional demeanor and his willingness to listen.  We had a couple of challenges with the site, as it was a weedy slope where I've never been able to grow grass.  Also I needed to store a recycle bin there.  He worked the bin "pad" into his design.  My goal was to have a side yard that would require no maintenance (other than occasional watering) and he was able to provide that.  
He took into account that I'd need to drag the recycle bin up and down the slope.  Also I appreciated his plant selections, as I have an eclectic sense of garden design, and a couple of existing trees/shrubs that I wanted to keep.  He was able to blend my love of "cottage-old-fashioned" plantings with more modern/architectural trees/shrubs in a nice design.  And he used an attractive stone edging to keep the mulch contained and provide a finished look to the planting bed.
During the installation, the original idea of using river rock (larger size) proved that it wouldn't work, as I couldn't drag the recycle bin over it.  He replaced that stone with pea gravel, and it worked perfectly.  I also asked him to add additional stepping stones (once installation began) and he was able to do so with only a small increase to the cost.
A couple of weeks after installation, one of the smaller plants died.  I took a pic of it and emailed it to him.  He sent one of his crew out the next day to replace it.
All of the perennials that he planted last year have survived the winter and are starting to reappear.  The tree and shrub he planted offered winter interest and continue to thrive.  I'm very happy with the work he did and would highly recommend him. His pricing seems reasonable based on other estimates I received.  His crew was professional and hardworking.  His watering instructions were accurate.  I'm still as pleased with the landscaping now as I was after it was originally installed.

We used Kris and his crew 2 years ago to do a major overhaul of our landscaping including 3 rock walls and 3 planting areas after we saw what a great job he had done for a neighbor.  We couldn't have been happier with both his service and value.  Since then we have used him 3 other times including this week to do spring clean up. Each time we have been thrilled with his timing, work and charges.   We have already recommended Evolving Landscapes to family and will continue to anyone we know looking for his services.

On time, as promised, went the extra mile.

He did a wonderful work. I decided to go with him because I had used him before as well and he did some landscaping in the front and he did a really good job. I would highly recommend him. He is local in Lees Summit. He is very responsive to your requests and he has good ideas for landscape design. He will do anything you want him to do. I would have him back.

It went great.  After such a hot summer in 2013 and a cold winter, we lost a couple of plants but he came and replaced them without us even asking.  Very courteous and professional.   Did great work and we would recommend his services.  We didn't price compare much, one other bid.  He did a house up the street and we liked the quality so we didn't price compare much. But, he beat the one other bid we obtained.

I can't tell you how happy we are with our new landscaping, we have received numerous compliments from our neighbors.  Kris took the time to listen to what we wanted and had great ideas for how to update our landscaping.  The retaining wall is gorgeous and is even better than I had anticipated, the new plantings look awesome.  The project went very smoothly and was completed very quickly.  I highly recommend Evolving Landscapes to anyone that is thinking about updating their landscaping.

It went very well.  Kris listened to what we wanted to do and developed a design that we liked very much.  We also liked the fact that he didn't try to bump up the cost.  Instead, his first design came in on the low end of our price range, so we asked him to go back and enhance it a bit.  That never happens.  Kris and his crew showed up on time and completed the work as scheduled.  He did the work in the early spring and then as the spring wore on, one bush that we thought was healthy was obviously dying.  He came back and removed that bush at a very reasonable cost.  One of the new shrubs that was planted in early spring turned out to be unhealthy and Kris is working with us to replace it.  We are very satisfied with the work that Evolving Landscapes has done.  All in all, it really couldn't have gone better.  I can highly recommend them.

Kris is easy to work with, and after many design revisions ( he is also very patient ) we finalized plants, cost, etc. His team arrived on time, cleaned up the areas and did everything we asked for ( including moving some plants after installation ). We plan on having him back in the fall to continue with landscape cleanup and replacement.

Kris and his team showed up on time and ready to work.  We had had a patio put in after the initial proposal was provided and asked if they could landscape around the patio while thye were there. Once again Kris took pictures and provided us with a bid and pictures the next day.  We told them to go for it and they did a fantastic job - planting, sodding and mulching. Kris provided us with detailed written instruction on care and watering of the new plants, trees and sod.  We are extremely happy with Evolving landscapes.
Kris is very knowledgeable about the types of shrubs, flowers and trees that thrive in the extreme climate of Kansas City.
