Crown Exteriors

Took two months and many calls to get the work done.  We thought the work was done and then noticed in April that they did not replace the gutter guard.  Called in April to inform them and am still waiting now in October after MANY phone calls.  They also did not clean up after themselves, leaving nails and wood debris all over the place. I would not recommend this company and will never use them again. 

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE WORK WAS NEVER COMPLETED IN VIOLATION OUR CONTRACT FROM JULY 2013.  WE ARE PURSUING SMALL CLAIMS TO RESOLVE THIS PROJECT.  I WOULD NOT TRUST CROWN EXTERIORS WITH ANY TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION AND I WOULD NOT TRUST ANY THING HE SAID ABOUT DOING ANY KIND OF WORK.

I HAD THE WORK INSPECTED.  THE LIST OF ITEMS NEEDING REDONE WAS EXTENSIVE.  THE QUALITY OF THE WORK THAT WAS DONE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS DONE BY A HIGH SCHOOL WOOD WORKING CLASS.

The customer service from the project manager and the company owner was excellent. I had a few minor issues with the roofing job, and those were addressed by the company without any problems or quibbles. Their attitude is that the customer comes first. Every time I met with the project manager, he would ask, what questions do you have for me, what else can I do for you, what concerns do you have?

The roof got replaced in July, the gutters and screens in August, and the garage door in the first week of September. The gutter replacement was actually better than what the original builder did, as well as the garage door. I'm very happy with their work. 

The company uses GAF Timberline HD lifetime roofing shingles, which are the best quality available. I would recommend anyone having to have a roof replaced to check out the GAF website, and compare their shingles to other companies. Some of the roofing companies that did work in this area used 25 year shingles, which were rated as 'economy' shingles, and GAF doesn't even sell.

From the beginning this job was a very positive experience. The initial inspection of the property was very thourough. Plenty of time was spent doing the inspection and everything explained in detail. At no time was there any pressure to sign a contract or commitment. After we chose Crown Exteriors to do the work, I made arrangents for them to meet with the insurance adjuster. One of the owners of the company met with me and the adjuster several days later. Again, plenty of time was spent looking the job over with everything being explained. Roof Roofers arived at noon and began work. They worked until 9:30 that night completing about 85% of the job. They were back the next day and finished the work. There were a few things left to be cleaned up but the owner of the company came out and finished the cleanup himself. The roofing job ended with everything around the house back just like it was before they started. Painting The painters came late one afternoon and power washed the house. I visited with the Foreman to discuss expectations of the job. He was very interested in doing the job done the way I wanted it done. They were back the next morning and began caulking every nail hole, crack etc in the entire house. They also replaced several areas of rotting wood with new wood. They were back the next day and painted the house, trim etc. The job was done exactly as discussed. The area around the house, yard etc was left in perfect condition; I didn't find a drop of paint on anything that shouldn't have been painted.

He did a good job. He's somebody that you can call and get a hold of and get answers. I did not have to leave messages and hope he would call me back. The quality of the work they did was excellent. I have a lot of flowers around my house so they took precautions and didn t mess up anything. When they would leave for the day they cleaned up their mess. I was impressed with how well they cleaned up after themselves.
