My name is Ramiro Cruz and I am the owner of CertaPro Painters in Kansas City, MO. My years of working as a Project Manager in Corporate America has prepared me in running a business that is focused in providing solutions for my customers. There is no greater satisfaction than knowing I have exceeded my customers expectations. A home is is one of the largest investments you will make in a lifetime and very personal. They did what they said and charged me what they said they would. They were very timely and communicated what the schedule was going to be. They also assisted in decisions regarding painting the door. The workers along with the individual that estimated the job were very professional.

DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. I still have to get my chimney examined, because as far as I know two sides need replaced and never were. That boils down to skimping on materials and not doing the right thing by the customer. RC the contractor texted me stating" the customer wants to save a buck". I made it clear to him I want quality work and things done right. I might as well been talking to the wind. Rotten boards around both garage doors...they slapped up a couple boards in 2 hrs time. It was a bandaid job to make me believe they had taken care of all that needed done. I threw a fit that night and called what i thought was customer service. The next day their carpenter painter spent 5 hours replacing those boards. I hope they were done as should be. Who knows. I had to pull teeth just to get the painters names. I had to contact RC to ask for their names. I told him I wont allow anyone to work on my property without knowing their names. I will not speak to the paint applied to my house because the rest of the experience was horrendous. I felt like i had to physically watch over the entire project. I could not stay in the house and trust things would be done to my satisfaction and to any homeowners satisfaction. When you get off to a horrible start there is no trust. I weighed whether to tell them dont come back, but I opted to give it another day. Ladies! Do not use this painting company!! Spring was cold and wet!!!!! These painters couldnt paint. They came to my house to "save a buck", as evidenced by not fixing things the right way. They needed to do the job in a hurry and go on to the next. DO NOT CHOOSE CERTAPRO BECAUSE IT IS A NATIONWIDE CORPORATION. In this instance a low(er) bid was given to me, so BEWARE. I told the CONTRACTOR I expect quality work no matter what cost I have agreed to pay. Id say due to spring weather bids were lower than usual. I told the CONTRACTOR yesterday i still need my chimney boards evaluated. I had to complain on DAY ONE. The contractor went as far as to say we didnt discuss the rotten boards around the garage doors. I so regret using Certapro of N Jackson Cty.

"Your customer is not providing accurate information. Everything we said we would do as written on the contract we repaired as stated. Some of which she references was not discovered until after the power wash. Example, the 2x6 garage trim boards. We repaired by cutting away 3 ft. of board and replaced with new wood. By the way, we did not charge for this service, it was done for free. She stated she would not pay full price for the soffit repairs, so I reduced them considerably. I asked her to sign a Change Order for that amount at which point she signed. We replaced a siding panel and trim boards in the chimney as stated on the contract. I know she states to you she was willing to pay for any and all repairs however she refused to pay anything above the scope of the contract while we were doing the work. I have text messages from her while the project was going on praising the work and the quality being provided. She is doing everything she can to prevent from paying. She signed up for a finance program offered through my business which is a 12 month same as cash program. They are a 3rd party provider and not affiliated with my business. She filed a complaint through them where she demanded a $700 discount at which point they investigated and found in my favor. Here is their response: "Ramiro, Thank you for your assistance in resolving the complaint filed by (member name removed.) We have determined that RC-BAC Inc agreed to replace 2 lap panels around the garage, and the customer’s concerns are related to work that was not included in the contract. Therefore, the complaint has been closed in our records. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns at the telephone number listed below. Thank you," Now you tell me, am I supposed to give in to a customer who simply says they do not want to pay as agreed. In addition, she is defaming the good name of my company. Or can I defend myself? I choose to defend myself."

It went well. I did a bad job of picking the color. when I realized it the crew had painted most of the bedroom. When I told them about this they were more than ok to repaint upon getting the color correct. Thx guys.

Ramiro and his team did an excellent job on our home. They did a great job matching our existing paint color, replacing trim, and even went the extra mile and repainted our porch swing to match. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I bought some of the paint myself. They were very professional and I believe they did a pretty good job. When I did the exterior I met with Mr. Cruz and they looked at the property and set up the painters.

Our experience started out great with a call to Certapro's Mr. Ramiro Cruz, he was very friendly, professional, and his estimate was right in line with others we have received from Angie's list contractors but he offered a great benefit of a color consultant free of charge so we chose Certapro. The color consultant was a great help, also very friendly and worked with our schedule with ease. We decided on the best paint Sherwin Williams once the colors were chosen and a start date picked, the wife and I made sure all the wall décor, electronics, and furniture was moved prior to the paint crews arrival. The paint crew arrived on time and started right away and looked promising but ended there. The crew did not clean up at the end of each day, missed some nail pops, a few spots on the wall are look bad, some paint runs, upon the wife and I cleaning up after the job was complete noticed a few paint spots on the floor, and a few other issues Ill leave alone. Certapro's Mr. Cruz stated it would take about 3-4 days time to complete but it took the crew three days with two guys that worked from 9-4 (could be why the less than average job). Now when the crew was leaving and I called to make payment to Mr. Cruz, he did ask how everything went and when I explained the problems he offered to send them back. I did refuse because there was only so much mess we could handle and it shouldn't had to come to that. Certapro has other crews and maybe they do a better job but we were disappointed.

The whole house painting process went smooth from start to finish. Ramiro Cruz was upfront and personal with the estimate. Every step of the process was thoroughly explained in the estimate and performed on site. The painting crew was very professional. The finished product was perfect.

I can't express enough how pleased we are with CertaPro Painters. The house looks great, they did an absolutely perfect job. The crew was very professional and it was a pleasure having them working on our house. Even my neighbors commented about the great job they did and commented on how great the crew was. They here when they said they would be, cleaned up everything and completed the job exactly when they said they would. They did exactly what they said they would do and for exactly the price they quoted to me. When I contacted Ramiro about a quote he was here the next day and had me a written quote the following day. When I was ready to get started he came to the house again and reviewed everything that was to be done to make sure what he was quoting was exactly what I wanted. Ramiro said they could get started in 3 to 4 weeks which was just fine but then called the next day and was able to start the following Monday (2 days). Ramiro said the job would take 3 days and that's exactly how long it took.
They were careful with our pets (4 cats) and polite to our neighbors. I absolutely would recommend this company and I absolutely will use them again.

We were very happy with the work. The guy that did the work did a real nice job. My husband got him off the list. We spent about $3600 on that work. They sub-contracted the work to another guy and that guy just did a really good job. We were satisfied with the work. We just thought that he was excellent.

Their price was better than others. They are currently painting my daughter?s house and they have hired the carpenter to install the windows. We were happy with their presentation. They were kind and had good sense of humor. Their staff was nice. They called before they came out and they kept us informed if they were late.
