Rentals - Equipment
Started contract with Celebration Party Rentals 8 months prior to the wedding. Rentals were to be delivered Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:000 PM. I called them around 4:00 PM on delivery day, and they said I was their next delivery. They arrived around 6:00 PM. I received two broken tables and one broken chair. All of the linens for the guest tables were wrong and one tablecloth had a hole in it. I told the delivery person the linens were wrong and he said he couldn't do anything. I hadn't discovered the broken tables and chair yet. I suggested he call his boss. He said he didn't think they had anything left in the warehouse. He finally made a phone call and said he would return with the correct linens that night or the next morning. He did not. I called Celebration Party Rentals later that night and again the next day, the day of the wedding, and left messages on voice mail when we hadn't received any replacements as promised. I sent an email detailing our situation. My daughter also tried to contact them with no luck. I called Celebration Party Rentals on Monday, after the wedding and reported all of the problems and attempts to contact them and the lack of response. Desiree said she would get back with me that week. When I asked if I had missed her apology she said she was sorry. She later called back with an apology and offered to reimburse me for the broken tables, chair amd damaged and wrong linens. I was very dissatisfied with the company and service. I must say they were very nice and prompt with contracts and questions prior to the wedding. They just failed to deliver the goods on the all important day! And with no way to contact them and no one returning calls when your event takes place leaves you up a creek without a paddle. Doing business them is a risk. The more important the event is to you, I would say, the greater the risk.

"During the extremely busy wedding season we attempt to check every table and chair after each event. However due to the increased volume during these times we sometimes miss damaged items,and rely on our customers to inform us if they have damaged items from an event. This does not always happen. The linens were correct in size according to the order sheet and the check in and check out paperwork. Often times since all the linens no matter the size have rounded corners the linens are put on the wrong tables. With each linen order we pack the linens in clear bags that are labeled with the size linen, These size linens are discussed with the person who ordered the linens as to which linen goes on what table. Most of the time the person who puts the linen on the tables is not that person, and confusion sets in. This is why we label each bag with the linen size to attempt to make this process easier and less confusing. If we are not hired to put the linens on the tables, unfortunately we can not be held responsible for mistakes made, and try to make every effort to walk someone through the process. This issue was never brought up with the person on call that evening. ( which was me). I received several calls and informed the person each time that the delivery trucks were delayed on that day. Yes they did show up at 6pm, and our delivery times of 9-4 are the times we try to make all the deliveries. Sometimes we are unable to meet those times based either on the number of events we have, or earlier deliveries in the day where we are waiting on our client. Such instances we are not in control of. Which was why you were contacted by our office as well during the day about the delay in your delivery. We never make any specific time deliveries with our clients during the busy season because of potential delays like above, accidents on the road, weather issues, equipment issues, etc... We do however deliver the requested items on the day that they are requested even if we have to work overtime or into the early evening. This is why we schedule deliveries for the day before the event. That way if an issue arises we are still delivering the items the day before the event."
