It went very well. He showed up when he said he'd show up, he worked, and it looks better than it ever did. There were no surprises or extra charges - he insists on writing up a contract and going over it before. He found things he hadn't anticipated but he did it for the same charge, and he came in $2000 below the closest other bidder and offered more for that money, so his price was excellent. I'm really happy; it was probably one of the best experiences I've had dealing with a contractor.
