This was the second time I've used Barker's for tree trimming and, on both occasions, Scott was very thorough. He took the time to fully explain what needed to be trimmed and presented a very fair estimate. While the weather and demand this year hampered his ability to meet the original schedule, we decided to wait because we knew from past experience that his dedication to task and expertise in trimming trees was excellent. In our experience with Barker's Tree Service, they demonstrate genuine concern for ensuring the customer is completely satisfied and the home looks it's best when they are done with the job.

Great, easy to work with once we figured out we would have to do a lot electronically.

Really well. Once we got connected, which was challenging for both of us, the week was done promptly to meet a tight schedule I had due to planned geothermal installation.

We were told from the day of the estimate it would be about two weeks. However the contractor had a large job that was taking longer then they expected. So after about a month and a half they called and said they would be out the next day.
They showed up within reason of the time they said they would. After they cut down the first tree the guys were stuck in my neighbors yard. They made moderate ruts in his yard. But they did attempt to rake the ruts flat. It wasnt super but better then not attempting at all. The larger of the two trees was in the from of the house and it was taken down fairly quick. No more issues from the guys. They left to drop off the wood chipper and to empty the truck. When they came back it took longer to load the truck then it took to cut the tree down. But that was just because the one of the guys was running out of steam. There was about twenty, four foot by two and a half to three foot around logs that weighed a lot that had to be loaded in the truck. I felt bad for the guy on the ground he was wore out when they left.
Overall the only issue was time frame and the ruts in the neighbors yard. I would definitely use these guys again. We have another tree that is going to need to be trimmed/removed soon. Just need to get a estimate and time frame. This time however they will need to not wait until after/during a rainy few days.

The quality of the job was fantastic.  In less than four hours the tree was gone and the yard was completly cleaned up.  The original price to remove the tree was $450.00.  However this left a stump in the yard, as is fairly common practice for cutting trees down.  I requested that the stump be cut down, to be closer to the ground.  For an additional $50 the stump was cut to ground level.  I did not expect that they would go the extra distance to trim the stump to conform to the ground contour.  I believe that I received more value than what I paid.
Several years ago they cut a tree down and at my direction left a 12 ft high stump.  This was a cost savings to me and my son in law was going to remove the stump and use the wood.  Needless to say the stump was still there on the 9th.  I had asked that it also be taken out.  I really expected to pay additional for this effort.  However, the total bill was $500, $450 for the pine tree and the $50 for the removal of the stump.
I will have them back with a stump grinder to remove the stump and smooth up the yard.  To save me money, they suggested that I plant a flower bed in the area of the stump.  That would be easily accomplished using pavers from Homew Depot, Lowes, etc.  Howver the pavers would clash with the stone work of the house, as seen in the picture, so the grinder will have to do its thing

It was great.  They came, cut down the trrees and picked up all the pieces, and left the site as though nothing had ever been there.  We couldn't be more pleased.

They were very good and very professional.  They cleaned up everything when they were done.  Everybody in the area had trees going down during a horrendous storm.  I saw them do work for the neighbors, so I went over and asked them if he could do some work for us.  I told them that we had more trees.  They will be coming down again maybe this winter or next winter.  They will be giving us quotes for that work.  I asked someone across the road who was using this service, and he said they were the best and had always been the cheapest around here.  He said he always used Barker's Tree Service whenever he had work.  We didn't get any other quotes, but the other provider that I called said he wouldn't be able to come out for at least a month.  The Barker's Tree Service person came out the same day.
