Shanks Heating & Cooling

Nick came to our home within one hour of our call to Shanks. Our air conditioner was not cooling our house. He originally thought the circuit board was defective, so he priced a new one. It would have cost a small fortune to replace the circuit board, so brainstorming with Chad, the owner, they devised another way to fix it. Five minutes later the air conditioner was fixed and was back to cooling our home! Instead of a $650.00 circuit board, it was merely the cost of a service call.

Shanks Heating and Cooling was able to come to Cameron, MO even though Cameron wasn't listed as an area they service. Shanks was very knowledgeable and didn't want to push us for a new air conditioning unit. We needed to replace the A coil. However, after limping ours along for several years and having an old R22 unit, it was time to upgrade. Shanks installed an American Standard unit, a new A coil and a damper to regulate air flow. We have inconsistent temperatures in many rooms. This seems to have worked. Shanks was on time, professional, knowledgeable and gave a fair bid. I would definitely recommend Shanks Heating and Cooling. It's only been one week since the new unit was installed and it SNOWED right after that. I can't really rate on continuing service maintenance, etc. I intend to update my review after actually USING the unit awhile. It did, however, work great right after being installed.

Came on a Saturday after a competitor had written-off our 10-year-old system. He quickly found a few small issues and repaired them. Good attitude, would definitely hire this small-businessman again!
