The last service cost me $1300. They're always really great!

I would avoid that place like the plague. I can't go in there to get an inspection or an oil change without them finding something else dramatically wrong with my poor vehicle that needs to be worked on right away. . Mysteriously after my last oil change about a month later I had pieces of the caps from the A/C tubing going through my antifreeze overflow container into my water pump and getting lodged there, which blew up my water pump. Mysteriously these caps jumped off of these lines and got underneath a screwed down tight lid on my antifreeze overflow. I took it to my mechanic and told him that I didn't know what happened to it. He came back and told me that there were pieces of the cap in my water pump. I only have two options on how they got there. My car is always locked and in the garage, so it's not like vandals came and somehow got into my locked car, open my hood, and did all of this to it or somebody thought it was going to produce some work for them. I don't know this for a fact and I'm totally making conjecture and everything else, but based on my experiences with them I won't go back there ever again for anything. I will drive another 15 miles for an inspection and I will never let them under the hood of my car again. I went in for an oil change because they could usually get me in within 30 minutes and I don't like to bother my mechanic with it because he's so busy with other things. I went in there, got my oil changed, and then a month later I'm dead on the side of the road. My engine was overheated and I had to be towed home for 35 miles. I had it towed to my mechanic and he called me to let me know what was wrong, but how the caps got in there is a mystery. I know my mechanic didn't lie to me because he has never lied to me in 12 years, so I can't help but think that the only other people that were ever under the hood of my truck are the ones that keep telling me that things are going to be a big problem. I can't help to jump to that conclusion because I always tell them no. Nobody has been under my hood without having my keys. Somebody had to have access to it to do it and it wasn't just a prank somebody pulled. I can't prove it, but based on some of the other stuff that they tried to do I can't be too sure. They apparently have a reputation for constantly trying to add on to their ticket which they try to do every time I come in. I then take it to my mechanic and he says it doesn't need it. I can't go back to them anymore because I just can't trust them. They responded to my needs pretty good, but they just tried to make it worse.

The service at Hunt's has been great each time I have visited. I had an appointment for an oil change, and it was performed promptly at the scheduled time. I brought in a loose tire late on a Friday afternoon, without an appointment, and they completed the repair before the end of the day. They spent over an hour diagnosing an unusual noise. When they found that the problem was an exhaust leak (they don't do exhaust work), the manager referred me to a muffler shop with a good reputation, and he there was no charge for the diagnosis. I have been very happy with Hunt's, and I will definitely return.
