BRS hired a poorly skilled unlicensed contractor to renovate my home. In my case they hired Dennis Adolphsen as the general contractor. They operated without getting the appropriate city permits so construction is not overseen nor approved. They sent the same contractor out to "fix" the repairs, but do not really address the problem. 1. The roof continued to leak after they did a full roof replacement without a permit. They offered a roof labor warranty through their realtor and now are saying the realtor was not authorized to tell me that. They only offered to tar the roof, which is not the appropriate way to fix a roof leak. Multiple roofing companies came out to tell me the roof wasn't installed properly. Norton and Schmidt, a professional engineering firm, states that the roof is improperly installed around the chimney area. 2. The tile was laid down without underlayment and now cracking and shifting. 3. No grout sealer was used so the sand grout in the bathrooms and sinks are starting to crack. 4. The carpet was not tacked down properly and there are lumps on the floor under the carpet. 5. They installed 4 foot chain link fencing on 3 foot posts and the posts were placed at least a foot away from the house. 6. They installed 7 foot garage doors in a 6' 9" opening, used the old hardware and didn't replace termite damage garage door structures that they found - which was not disclosed. They claim they didn't see it, but there was a 3 foot section that they nailed to existing termite damage to try to keep it into place. This made the garage doors go off balance and buckled in the middle. This is just a small list which is costing over $5000 to repair. The first buyer backed out and they didn't disclose why, but I understand what he saw that I didn't. Lesson learned. Be careful!!!!!
