Yocum Painting

From the begining, we both felt comfortable with Ron. Ron is in i'd say his mid- 50's, He is personable,  friendly and polite. He speaks and communicates well. He generates a persona of professionalism and confidence, He does not mind answering questions, and is patient, he offers suggestions, but does not have that " well, heres the way you need to do it, to do it right, after all I'm the professional, you just the home owner" attitude I have got from many contractors. He was quick yet thorough in walking the house and giving us and estimate.  He also offered references from both residential and commercial past clients. He let us know he had over 14 years of exterior and interior painting. After agreeing on the brand of paint( which he does not mark up) . He gave us a start date and a arrox. finish date. Being that we waited till the end of the year he explained possible conflicts with painting at certain temperatures. Through the process Ron would show up we often did not notice him, ( even though we both work out of our home)  The only noise which was minimal was the prep work. Ron works alone and you get a sence watching him he takes great pride in his work. After each day he would clean up, and put things away in an organized fashion to be ready for his next work day.  Ron also has those old school manners about him. He does not initiate conversation. but will pause to chat if you choose to do so, but not long to break ( I think) his rhythm.. Because of low temperatures some days he worked early in the morning then stopped. A couple of days  He did not paint as it was to cold for the paint.  In the end he finished pretty much when he said he would.  When we did the walk around afterwards, we we ecstatic, Wow! look at our new house. We Loved it. Especially the now colored front door, However Ron spotted a few areas that he was not happy with and just had to correct to his satisfaction.  I did not even notice them. Bottom line we are very satisfied. Would we recommend him? we already have. Would we refer him? again we already have. And ours friends are glad we did . This year he did my wife's best friend exterior house, and refinished her deck.
