Mike, Ben, and the Totta team caused numerous issues and concerns. Their team was unable to color match existing antique hardwoods (as promised), unable to repair previously hidden water damage, and completely neglected cracked/damaged boards in our kitchen. We were left babysitting this project at every level. In the end, they took twice as long as quoted, skipped polyurethane under appliances, damaged an existing french door, and tried to add costs to the invoice without a written contract change order. The discussions were rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend their team at all.

They fixed the uneven areas and did a great job of helping us with the stain colors to help my wife decide. The crew communicated what they were going to do each day and did a great job on the little details.

It's the details that matter and I carefully look for companies that have a good reputation before hiring. I have asked the crew to come back for touchups or fixes multiple times because what was marked was missed or ignored when coming out for the touch ups. We were clear that corner round boards will not be used and only trim boards will be used. We had to fix ourselves an area where the board was cut short and left a 1 and 1/2 inch gap from the wall because of the timing of the trim boards coming up. A board that hits the side of the bathtub was cut crooked. I am mystified why it was okay to install a crooked board. I'm not 100% okay with putting stained corner round board to cover it up but I get that it's the easiest fix. There were at least 6 large gaps between floor boards. Some boards had chips in the wood but was installed anyway. There are quite a few areas with smaller gaps some fixed and some not. It was suggested at the last walkthrough that I was too picky. For nearly $5k I think the details matter to a customer. It would have been a better experience having the customer do a complete walk through with the crew before each stage of the process to catch issues during the process instead of the end of the process.

The individual who came to do our weaving of the floor and sanding did an excellent job. Our floor is seamless. In addition, we had him "de-squeak" the floorboards in that room which is a very nice thing to have done and was priced reasonably. No huge up-charge for the additional service.

Totta did an excellent job. The workers were really nice. The sanding process was surprisingly clean. I expected dust everywhere but it wasn't a problem. Our 50+ yo floors are beautiful. It's been nearly a year and we don't have a single scratch in the finish.
