The Reserve at Barry

The Reserve at Barry is a tolerable place to live. However, the management is horrendous and frequently disrespect the residents and their wishes. Noise concerns are rarely handled with in a timely manner, and there is very poor communication between management and residents concerning corrections. I, personally, have received significant disrespect from the management.

The apartment that I live in is terrible. The management communication with residents is terrible. The facilities here are okay, not the best but definitely not the worse. We need to be careful about other residents. Whenever we go into the main office, it is usually only one person working and typically they are always with somebody and there is nobody else working in the office. We have to wait for that one person to get finished with whomever they are dealing with before we get a package or if we have a question, there is never anybody there. The back office people refuse to come out and help anyone who is standing around waiting at the front office. It is a weird customer service there, it really sucks. I don’t blame it on the front office people because they can only so much but those back office people need to get their heads out of their butts and deal with some good customer service. They have a glass door with paper on so we can’t see in there, so we don’t if anybody is in there or not. On the door it says “Door to remain close at all time.” It means they don’t want to help anybody. They have a pretty small gym. They have one but it is not a structure of imagination. The hot tub hours are not posted. The pool hours are only in the summer. In the wintertime, the hot tub closes and the office closes, which is like at 5 o’clock. I don’t know who would like to use the tub off work at that time. The hours are kind of funny. They need to upgrade their system. I would use them again in a worst case scenario. The maintenance service here is actually very good. They are very prompt, very helpful, and very nice. They cleaned up after themselves.
