About us

Since 1974 we have been providing the engineering, design and installation of electrical distribution systems. We provide and install generators and UPS's with service and repair. Now with the benefits of our renewable energy focus, we provide solar PV, solar hot water, wind turbines and micro-hydro power systems as well.

Tech Power was originally recommended to me by the Metropolitan Energy Center in 2005, before attn. to issues surged.  Their experience spans several decades. I wanted the ability to function without fossil fuel within my urban house. TPS encouraged passive sustainability adjustments to my modest, 70-year-old, built-as-an-early-"suburban" house before we added solar panels, d.c. power to a.c. power converter system, and storage batteries. The system was methodically designed to suit this structure, its alignment to the sun, and other natural anomalies of its location.  Small but useful adjustments were made to the house's original electrical system. The story is long.  I'm most impressed by the company's thoroughness and conscientiousness.  The mind set and work ethic define integrity.
