Hired them to remove wallpaper in 6 rooms in my new home. They then repaired drywall and did resurfacing work in those rooms. They did a nice job. Felt like the price overall was fair and appreciated how responsive they were on scheduling.

Sid and crew arrived on time for the first day of the day. Job went well until the encounter an issue with the wallpaper in the kitchen/hearthroom. Sid stopped his crew and called us to explain the situation. The wallpaper had not been installed properly and when they went to take it down it peeled the drywall board. We asked for Sid's professional opinion and recommendation if it were his house. He recommended that we seal the paper and mud and sand the walls for a paint ready finish. Over the next week Sid and Crew mud and sand the walls keeping the house very neat with barriers. On the last day of the job we had 1/2 or so of dry all dust in the kitchen/hearthroom during the lunch hour. Sid ensured that he and his crew would have the walls and area clean before we arrived back home. Upon arrival word can not express how happy we are with Surface Service. The wall are incredible and you could of dined right on the hardwood floors. We didnt find one ounce of drywall dust so to speak. Job WELL DONE Sid and Crew! We will be having them back to help with our master bath and down stairs area as well. Thank you, Thank you M&J

Sid and the guys were great.  Showed up on time.  Removed the wallpaper in a few hours.  Cleaned up.
Returned the next day to sand and seal the walls in prep for painting.

Sid Lehrbaum showed up on time with 2 helpers.  Only one layer of paper needed removal; however, our house was built in 1925, so all surfaces were lath & plaster, & after stripping was complete, multiple cracks, gouges, & other imperfections were revealed.  Sid & his crew worked off & on over the next week to prepare these rooms for painting.  Underneath the wallpaper in one room, significant damage was revealed from an old leak.  One of his assistants, Aaron, devised a system to repair the damage without removing the rest of the ceiling.  When completed, after mudding, the damage was no longer visible.

Sid's team came to do some wall repair at our home. They repaired cracks, nail pops, and other dry wall problems.We were SO impressed with his team. They were fast, knew exactly what they were doing, and they do EXCELLENT work. And, they are
an exceedingly nice group of guys. We could not ask for a better, more professional team. We are thrilled with the results.

There were several layers of wallpaper.  They had to go through complete mudding, two times from floor to ceiling and corner to corner.  It was a pretty complicated service.  My wife painted it afterwards and it looks like a new bedroom.  It looks great.

Most impressive with his response to my phone call and his willingness to help me with a very short timeline. Sid called me back the day I left my message. He worked within a small time frame and even came several days early when another job ended sooner than expected. He left the premises clean. I would recommend him highly.

Punctual, Excellent Quality, All craftsman were professional and courteous and careful during the project.  Each day clean up was great.  Fair price for work performed.  Certainly would use again if have another project.

Sid and his crew did a fantastic job!  The work was done when promised, finished on time and at a fair price.  Sid was onsite everyday, and worked alongside his crew on many occasions.  After removing the popcorn and the wallpaper, all surfaces were patched, sanded and sealed.  Each time the crew sanded, they installed plastic sheeting in the doorways to minimize the dust in the rest of the house, and always did a great job cleaning up before leaving for the day.  The crew was extremely friendly, and very respectful of our house and property. 

It all went well.  Sids team was professional, got the job done.  Had no worries of leaving his guys in the home to do the work.  As noted I would hire them again (as I did for the second job.)

I called Sid in mid July and we made an appointment for him to come and look at two bathrooms that had old wallpaper on un-sized walls and popcorn textured ceilings. He was very punctual, polite and gave what I felt was a very fair price to do the removal of the old paper and popcorn. He was booked until August 12, but again he and his crew were punctual and so polite and easy to work with. They got right to work, putting tarps down and wetting the ceiling. They had the ceiling popcorn down in no time and the paper was off the walls pretty quickly too. They had to come back a few days later to do the wall repair as they were booked for another job in between. That wasn't a problem as both bathrooms were completely usable. Once again, they were right on time and got the job done quickly and the walls look beautiful. We couldn't be more pleased. We have plenty more popcorn ceilings and I will certainly call Sid and his crew again to do the removal when we are ready!

We have worked with Sid and his crew many times and called him back for this job.  He is responsive and fair in bidding jobs.  The work is done extremely well and they always clean up.  I would highly recommend his company!

Sid and his crew performed a very extensive removal and repair at our home in the fall of 2012. They removed wallpaper in nearly every room and 24ft entry way of a 3400 sq. ft. home, then repaired the drywall on the walls and ceilings. Sid went out of his way to start the job almost immediately and really worked with us to speed along a tough job due to a short closing on our old home. They really went above and beyond and performed very good work and threw in a few extras here and there.

DAY 1: The crew arrived punctually and went right into action, like a choreographed dance number. They laid out several layers of cloth and plastic on the floors. I went into another room and closed the door, so I didn't watch all of it, but they went to work spraying the walls and ceiling. I came out at one point, and I thought I was in a rain forest; water was dripping from the ceiling. I went back into my hiding place. In less than two hours, Sid knocked on the door of the room I was in. He said they were done for the day. They had removed all the painted paper and popcorn and patched some of the larger cracks and holes, and then cleaned the room up. All the drop cloths were gone and the floors were dry. DAY 2: Again, they arrived right on time, went to work plastering (coating?) EVERYTHING, walls & ceiling. Again, gone in under two hours, everything cleaned up. DAY 3: They sanded a bit, and then did a little more patching and left within about an hour; Sid said it wasn't quite dry enough for the final work. Day 4: I left, because this was the sanding day. I came home a little too early, and the house was filled with a cloud of powder and all the guys were covered in dust. I went back into my hiding place to wait, thinking they would never clean up all this mess they were making. Less than an hour later, Sid knocked on the door and I came out to an incredible sight: a space with walls and ceiling that were smooth and silky. And the floors had no dust on them. It was beautiful. The room looked so much bigger without all the popcorn and cracks that drew your eyes right to them. I was delighted. I would recommend Sid to ANYONE who needs to make their walls and ceilings look better than new. In fact, I have two more rooms that need the same treatment, and I will call Sid when I'm ready to tackle them. It's been a year now, and everything STILL looks perfect. Not a crack in sight. I now use those 3-M hangers so that I don't have to put holes in my beautiful plaster walls.
