Summit Heating and Cooling

On about 6/29/24 had a service call scheduled for an ac not cooling. The tech (Lane) removed our WiFi thermostat and replaced with a basic T6 non-WiFi thermostat that I found on Amazon for around $80. They charged us $399 for the downgraded thermostat plus $125 service fee. If that’s not bad enough, this was not even what was wrong with the cooling system. I called another company who found that the unit was frozen after a simple visual inspection and fixed it. I’ve called multiple times to try to get some sort of compensation for an incorrect diagnosis or a refund and get my old WiFi thermostat back. Justin always answers my calls and is trying to get me some resolution but his superiors don’t seem to have time for me. I manage over a hundred rental units and currently have this company blacklisted due to the poor treatment. If I receive any kind of resolution I am happy to update my review.

Charged me just under $600 for a 20 minute visit to replace a capacitor, and that's including the $99 flat rate for diagnostics. Weekday (non-emergency). Still waiting to hear back if that was a mistake or not

These guys were wonderful! We had a couple companies come out to give estimates and Summit was by far the best price for our budget. We lost our old central air unit on July 4th, which was a nightmare, and they came out within hours of my call and loaned us a portable unit to keep our bedroom cool so I could sleep again! They installed THE NEXT MORNING, and Michael H., Freeze & Camron were excellent! Our house has never been more efficient and cool!

I had my new A/C and furnace installed one year ago by Summit! They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I was undergoing treatment fo lung cancer & it was hot. These folks set me up with a cooler & as they installed the units, I was able to stay cool and safe. Their follow up was amazing. I’m most happy to refer them to other homeowners!

Chris Borja, the maintenance technician, arrived on time and was extremely professional in the performance of the furnace check and air filter change. He carefully explained the various checks performed and provided a checklist by email after completion of the work. He was very engaged with the work and was very supportive of his company. Summit Heating took over from my previous furnace company when that business was sold and I am happy with their service. I will continue to use them.

I'm a big fan of these guys. They do a good job, they're clean, and they're on-time! Cost on this review was for capacitor replacements in both my AC unit and furnace. This was optional maintenance, but I chose to do it as capacitors were testing worse and worse for a few years, and better to replace those than blower motors. The yearly maintenance is well worth it. They come out twice a year, once to check AC, once for the furnace. CO tests, efficiency tests, general maintenance. Keeps you in-the-know about system performance, and helps prevent big surprises.

My CO alarm went off late this afternoon. I called 911. the Fire department came but by then the CO meter had stopped beeping. Nevertheless, they went inside and discovered elevated CO levels. However, they could not locate the source as the highest numbers were away from the combustion sources. The levels were slowly dropping the longer they were here. They advised me to have someone check the furnace. I called Summit and they were able to come out that evening. Tristan was professional and courteous. He called ahead to tell me he would be there in about 30 minutes. He used a sophisticated meter to check for CO in both the exhaust and the supply vent. He explained the process and the results showing on the meter. He also checked the flue in the attic, and didn't find anything. Before leaving He offered some suggestions for venting the utility room and improving the humidifier which I may implement at some later time.

The tech identified an issue with one of the capacitors which I replaced myself with the OEM part. The capacitor did not resolve the issue, so I will have to revisit next season. My biggest issue was him tracking a black, oily substance through my house when he came inside. I've unfortunately been unable to get it out of the carpet. Most other companies cover their shoes when coming inside, but unfortunately this technician did not.

Service tech was professional and on time. He performed a routine checkup of our furnace and discussed everything when finished.

Great! Technician was on time, polite, and professional. He pointed out that the filter we had in the furnace was the wrong size, which was never pointed out by previous company that serviced this furnace.

It went well. A part was replaced and the guy made sure we saw the results of the test he ran on it and understood what it meant. He was very professional and called to see if he could come early. We were pleased to tell him to come ahead.

Easy to schedule. He called before the appointment and showed up on time. He went straight to work and he didn't give me any bad news. You can't beat that.

Very quick. Had an issue with the furnace programming saving that resulted in unit freezing up. Team at LS H&C quickly took care of the issue and my family for the inconvenience. Highly recommend!!!

Tristan was knowledgeable helpful, friendly, and very professional. He diagnosed our problem, and within a couple of hours he rectified the situation. We are always pleased with the service that we received from Summit heating and air-conditioning. If one wants service from knowledgeable professionals, summit heating and air-conditioning all the people you need. They do not try to upsell you or shoot you a line of nonsense. We are always pleased with their professionalism.

Jim came and did a great job. He was on time and worked quickly to get everything done. He was very professional.

Summit responded quickly and were so helpful explaining what was the problem and the best course of action. You couldn't ask for a more customer-focused business.

Luis was awesome. Im a new homeowner and was really nervous about the unit breaking when it was hot. Luis fixed it quickly giving us relieve until they can install a new high efficiency unit. Saved the day!
