Great experience with Select Van and Storage - Sue and Stephanie were excellent to work with. We sold our house faster than we expected and needed to move out quickly but couldn't close on the new house until two days later. It appears that everyone and their brother was moving this July so finding someone who could move and store for two days was a challenge. Select was very helpful in getting a quote and was able to store our belongings without any issues. The crew was very courteous and made every effort not do damage anything - they wrapped the furniture within an inch of its life. Great company that provided a much needed service for a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

Difficult to get in touch with my moving representative. She seemed to be very disorganized and was not very informative. She even called the day after the move to ask how it was going, I had to remind her that she had the wrong date and my items had been picked up the day before!    When we originally scheduled the move, I gave them the date ranges to pick up and drop off my items. My items made it to KC before I did and Select  stored my items until I got there (about 2 weeks later). We tenatively scheduled a moving date of the Tuesday I arrived in KC. When I actually arrived in KC ( on Tuesday) they said they were too busy to deliver my items and it would be Friday of the following week until someone could deliver it (This was within my three week window I had originally been given, but I was specifically told that my items would be delivered the date I moved to KC. The worst part was on the thursday before the new scheduled delivery date (I had already been living in KC for 1.5 weeks without my items even though they were sitting in a warehouse), they called to say they had made a mistake.  No one checked the shipment when it had arrived over three weeks ago to see if it was complete! Only 1/3 of my items had been shipped to KC! The other 2/3 were sitting in the original warehouse (including my bed).  They did provide me money for any "necessities" I needed until everything else was shipped (cook ware, paper plates, etc), but at this point I had been sleeping on an  air mattress for almost 2 weeks!  The remaining 2/3 of my items were shipped and arrived the next tuesday. Anything that was not in a box was severly damaged. Many things beyond repair. My kitchen table was in 7 pieces when it arrived, my dining room table had a deep scratch on the surface, broken tv and countless other damages.  Select did send someone out to fix/ appriase but this required another 3 times where I had to be at home for apprasial, pick up and delivery of the damaged items. After two months, I was provided a check for the items that were not repairable.   Additionally, I had three other friends that moved with Select around the same time period and they too had similar problems. In summary, Select was an inefficient and unorganized moving company with poor customer service.  I would never recommend this moving company.

It was quick and thorough. They were prompt. The initial contact was comprehensive. Extablishment of the contract was via e-mail with the signed contract faxed back. They did phone calls to alert me to their impending arrival. They literally followed me to my new residence. They were careful not to track in dirt and to complete the job within the allotted time. I would recommend them to anyone.

THEY DID NOT PROTECT ANY THING, THE BROKE A CHAIR, THEY ALMOST EVERYTHING I HAVE. THEY WERE ON TIME AND COURTEOUS, BUT MOVED IN one FOURTH OF THE TIME THEY TOLD ME.
