I had told them when I asked for the quote that I did not have much luck with plants, so anything that was planted, had to be hardy. They quoted a magnolia tree, hydrangea's, boxwoods, linope, drift roses, and sky pencil holly. They also did low voltage lighting, with controls moved to our garage, steel edging, potting soil, and mulch. They removed much of the clay that was not allowing things to grow. The transformation was done quickly and efficiently. The lighting was beautiful. However, very quickly, a rose bush, one Boxwood, and one of the hydrangea died as well as one of the pencil holly. There was a statement in the contract that plants were guaranteed for 2 years. I also had questions on the plants and how to take care of them. I did not get any response to my calls from the landscape designer. I finally was transferred to Amanda, an associate of Steven's . She did come out, and replaced those bushes that were not doing well. This spring, the magnolia tree, and a different rose bush were not growing, and one of the pencil holly was dead. I called Amanda and asked questions about the magnolia tree, why it was not losing it's leaves, as well as not growning new leaves. Also, advised about the rose bush and holly pencil. We could not be home when she came to look at the plants. She did not e-mail us or call us about follow-up. One morning, 3-4 weeks later, planters showed up and replaced both the holly bushes, with no intention of telling me they were outside. However, I was home, and was able to ask someone who was, I thought, a supervisor about the rose bush and magnolia tree. I was told the rose bush was alive, and would grow. I acknowledge that It is at the side, so is not that noticeable. The magnolia tree would grow new leaves, as well as flowers. The gentleman told me they were irritable - like in finicky. Prior to this, I was told by another employee that pencil holly just dies for no apparent reason, and they would not use it. I feel that Rosehill Gardners, in this instance, did not listen to my concerns about needing plants that were hardy, and never gave me any information on how to care for the plants they did use, even after repeated requests. They also did not contact me about when they were coming to plant or re-plant items. I was told about their maintenance contracts. However, I felt it was very expensive for what was offered. I declined the contract.
They were really willing to work with you on price. They were easy to work with. I would use them in the future.
