and quot;Steveand quot; from Rockhill had come out to see the job a week before (on 10/09/2012). I simply needed a ceiling fan/light (that I had already purchased) installed in an area of my kitchen. A fixture had been there previously, so the electrical wires were already there. I needed a 'boxand quot; to brace and hold the ceiling fan/light, which was fairly heavy.
and quot;Jimand quot; came out about a week later and installed the ceiling fan/light. It took him about an hour and a half. He had to put in the 'boxand quot; and then assemble and install the fan/light. It also had a remote. He did a good job. I thought the price was a little high, given what was done. I know the box did not cost much, so the price was mostly labor. I had had a ceiling fan installed in my previous home for about $100 so the price seemed a bit excessive to me, and might have been based on the size of my home and my neighborhood and not on the job itself.

I acted as the GF on a standby genset project at our home. I dug the trench for a new 1.25 inch gas line and built the concrete pad, but subbed out the rest of the work. Although we hired a great electrician to do the wiring work, we had a few issues near the end of the project. Namely, the generator worked fine, but it wasn't picking up the 4-ton heat pump. I didn't know if this was a fault in the equipment, installation or some other variable.
After some searching, I found that Rockhill is a factory approved service provider for my genset. I called and asked if they could look over the installation. For example, one of the final steps to setting up the generator is to check the current frequency coming out of it. I don't have any tools to check frequency and the original electrician couldn't have done this as we didn't have the gas line installed when he did his work. Turns out the starting amps on the heat pump were just too much for the generator. A hard start kit solved that problem and nearly eliminated voltage drop when the heat pump starts on utility power (no more dimming lights).
Rockhill looked everything over and double checked some settings with the factory. Everything appears to be working great now.
Although I have several other electrical contractors I like as much as Rockhill, I will definitely use Rockhill for all of my generator issues, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for everything else.

They were terrific; they gave an accurate bid and were timely in every what. The electricians were also very polite.
